Two of the arrested accused Chand Miyan and Ayush Das had also been booked under the Narcotics Drug and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act previously, said police.

According to details, the accused were all part of an inter-state drug supply network spanning across multiple states including Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Jammu Kashmir, Rajasthan, Delhi, and Gujrat.

As per police, a Nepali citizen identified as Pradeep Tamang and Mehboob Miyan of Raxaul have long been involved in drug smuggling related work. The matter is being further investigated by the officials.
