Arunachal Pradesh: Massive outrage against huge Bangladeshi infiltration and illegal construction of mosques

A massive wave of public anger has erupted across Arunachal Pradesh following reports of large-scale infiltration by Bangladeshi nationals and the alleged illegal construction of mosques in several districts

After Assam, illegal Bangladeshi origin Muslim immigrants are targeting Arunachal Pradesh for infiltration. Huge outrage in Arunachal Pradesh against illegal immigration of Bangladeshi origin Muslims. The Indigenous Arunachali Youth Forum has vowed to detect and deport all illegal Miya-Muslims residing in the state and creating a mess. The youth forum has started a movement from capital city Itanagar from November 15 to raise awareness against the Miya intruders. Thousands of infiltrators have sneaked into the beautiful state of the and settled in different parts of the state and the numbers are growing day by day. These people have been indulged in various crimes including molestration, rapes and murder of local people.

The Arunachali Youth Forum alleged that dozens of illegal Mosques and Madrassas have come up in different parts of the state in the last few years. “If we people don’t wake up now the situation will be out of control. Everybody knows this, but nobody has raised their voice. But we must act before it’s too late”, said one member of the forum. The forum on Saturday searched many such illegal mosques in Naharlagun area and asked for construction permission, ILP and approval of concerned authorities. But the mosque and madrassa authorities have failed to show any legal documents. The forum appealed to the state government to take immediate action against such illegal activities and warned that if the government failed to do so, the public will take necessary steps to curb the illegal immigration.

It should be mentioned that Arunachal Pradesh is a tribal state any non resident of the state needs Inner Line Permit (ILP) to visit the state. The youth forum alleged that the Bangladeshi Miya Muslims who mainly come from Assam and particularly from Bongalamora area of Lakimpur district in Assam. The place is known as mini Bangladesh and all illegal activities take place there. The Miya people enter Arunachal with fake ILP and do all the illegal activities including drugs smuggling, fake gold smuggling and fake currency smuggling etc.

One female member of the forum said, “Our future will be like the Chakma people, landless, if we don’t take action now. If we rain asleep now, soon the tribal people have to vacate their own land.” Another member of the forum said, “ They have a history of violence. Look at the recent Delhi blast, only these people are involved. Jihad is in their veins. Once their population reaches a certain percentage, they will repeat the same thing in Arunachal too.” The Arunachali Indigenous Youth Forum said that they are ready for a long battle but will not allow the Miya, Muslims to reside in the peaceful state. They appealed to the state government to act immediately and stop all illegal construction of mosques and cancel all forged ILP.
