Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 2, held a roadshow in Patna after multiple rallies at Arah and Nawada. PM Modi was accompanied by BJP State President Dilip Jaiswal and Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairy, Rajiv Ranjan Singh.

PM Modi also paid floral tributes to the statue of noted Hindi poet Ramdhari Singh Dinkar. Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister addressed an election rally in Nawada and hailed the NDA’s poll promise to provide Rs. 3,000 in addition to the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi to farmers in Bihar, saying ‘jinhe koi nahi poochhta, Modi unhe poojta hai’ (Modi worships those whom no one else cares about). Thus, Prime Minister Modi took a jibe at the Opposition, claiming that the previous governments did not prioritise small farmers. In the last 11 years, government has brought small farmers to the centre of the agriculture policy, PM Modi further added.

He claimed that the government has provided Rs. 650 crore to the 2 lakh farmers in Nawada. “We opened bank accounts for farmers, and they get the amount for PM Kisan Samman Nidhi in those bank accounts. The poor farmers have received Rs. 20,000 crore. In Nawada, Rs. 650 crore has been deposited in the accounts of 2 lakh farmers,” PM Modi reiterated.

PM Modi targets Congree-led Mahagathbandhan

The Prime Minister invoked former PM Rajiv Gandhi and targeted the RJD-Congress-led Mahagathbandhan, alleging corruption under “jungle raj. “The amount reaches the accounts of the farmers without any cut, commission or corruption. If there was the ‘jungle raj’, they would have filled their own pockets. Congress’ PM once said, ‘If Re 1 is sent from Delhi, only 15 paisa reaches the villages.’ What was this ‘panja’ which turned Re 1 into 15 paisa?” PM Modi questioned.

“Farmers and people indulged in animal husbandry will receive double the gift as per the NDA’s manifesto. They will receive Rs. 6,000 under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi and the Bihar NDA has announced Rs 3,000 over that”, PM Modi added. Meanwhile, Nawada will undergo polling in the second phase on November 11. The polling for the first phase will take place on November 6, with results to be announced on November 14.

PM Modi slams Chhath Puja remarks by Rahul Gandhi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a strong attack against the Mahagathbandhan in Bihar, slamming Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s “drama” remarks against the BJP’s Chhath Puja celebrations. Hitting back at Rahul Gandhi, PM Modi invoked ‘Surya Dev’ and lauded the floating solar plant in Nawada.

Addressing an election rally in Nawada, he said, “RJD and Congress members call the worship of Chhathi Maiya a gimmick, a drama. These people have no idea about Surya Dev’s powers. It’s our government that’s engaged in generating electricity from Surya Dev’s energy. Those who have come from Delhi and other major cities to enjoy the election season, I’d also like to tell them to go and see the floating solar plant in Nawada”. This comes after Rahul Gandhi, in Darbhanga, said that the BJP staged a “drama” and built a separate pond for PM Modi to take a dip in during Chhath Puja. Further, terming “‘katta’ (guns), cruelty, and corruption” as RJD’s identity, PM Modi took a sharp jibe at the “jungle raj”

“RJD’s jungle raj had only one identity. As I say this, each one of you will believe that your Modi is telling the truth. They had only one identity: ‘katta’, cruelty, bitterness, bad manners, bad governance,\ and corruption. The signs of jungle raj stained Magadh’s pride with massacre and social division. If someone’s salary increased in Bihar, he would get worried because a higher salary meant paying more extortion to the RJD”, he said. “The urban naxals living in cities have lost their sleep at night seeing that Maoist terrorists, who once carried weapons in their hands, are now carrying a Constitution in their hands,” PM Modi added. Asking the gathering to switch on the torchlight in their mobiles, PM Modi took a dig at RJD and said, “Now tell me, when you have such a bright light in your palms, then who needs the lantern?”

Scaling the benifits of Kisan Nidhi scheme, a boon to small farmers

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the Bihar government would provide an additional Rs. 3000 to the Rs. 6000 Kisan Nidhi scheme money given by the Union Government, making the total amount Rs 9000, which will benefit farmers in the state. PM Modi emphasised that Bihar used to import fish from other states for itself; however, in the present time, Bihar is selling fish to other states, which is a result of the NDA governmet policies.

“Our government provides 6,000 rupees annually to small farmers under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. Now, Bihar’s new NDA government is going to increase this by an additional 3,000 rupees. The ‘Bihar Dairy Mission’ has been announced to increase the income of livestock farmers in Bihar,” the Prime Minister said.

Prime Minister emphasised that in the National Democratic Alliance’s “Sankalp Patra”, provisions related to children’s education, family healthcare, employment opportunities for the youth and irrigation facilities for farmers have been made. “On one hand, the NDA has presented an honest manifesto, while on the other hand, those from the jungle raj have turned their manifesto into a document full of lies, deceit and attempts to mislead the public. Do the people, our janata janardan, look foolish to them? Don’t forget, this is the public; they know everything. In the NDA’s Sankalp Patra (resolution document), there are strong provisions for children’s education, family healthcare, employment opportunities for the youth, and irrigation facilities for farmers,” the Prime Minister asserted.
