In the unfolding story of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, where indigenous innovation meets conscious capitalism, Indra Shakti Ventures stands as a symbol of purpose-led enterprise. The organisation is pioneering a new wave in Bharat’s food and beverage (F&B) ecosystem — one that uplifts rural livelihoods, promotes sustainability, and reimagines wellness for modern Indian consumers.

Deriving Inspiration from Agrarian Roots

At the heart of Indra Shakti Ventures lies a simple yet powerful philosophy Bharat ke liye, Bharat mein. The company believes that the future of prosperity lies not in imitation, but in innovation inspired by Bharat’s cultural and agricultural roots. Initial Challenges: Operating across the F&B space, Indra Shakti Ventures has incubated and invested in two purpose-driven brands — Swah and Hado — both built around health, authenticity, and sustainability. While Swah revives Bharat’s forgotten heirloom grains, Hado redefines the meaning of mindful social drinking. Together, they form the twin pillars of a purpose-first business model that balances commerce with conscience.

Swah: Preserving Heirloom Rice, Empowering Farmers

Bharat’s heirloom rice varieties — once cherished for their rich aroma, colour, and nutritional depth — have been steadily vanishing under the shadow of high-yield hybrid crops. Swah is changing that narrative. Working directly with thousands of small and marginal farmers across Bharat, Swah has created a nationwide movement to identify, cultivate and bring back rare and exotic rice varieties that were on the verge of extinction. From the antioxidant-rich Navara rice of Kerala, to the delicate, aromatic Ambemohar from Maharashtra’s lush valleys, to the legendary Kalanamak from the Terai region — Swah celebrates the diversity and heritage of Bharat’s soil.

Beyond reviving ancient grains, Swah is revitalising rural economies. The company has built state-of-the-art rice processing and packaging infrastructure, supported by modern warehousing and logistics facilities. This initiative has generated significant employment in rural and semi-urban areas — across farming, processing, quality control, and supply chain operations.

By ensuring fair procurement prices and stable demand, Swah has created a reliable livelihood model for farmers, while also reintroducing consumers to the nutrient-rich, heritage grains of their ancestors. It’s a model of Swadeshi entrepreneurship that harmonises economic growth with ecological stewardship.

If Swah represents Bharat’s roots, Hado is its bold, contemporary expression. The brand is a pioneer in the functional beverage category — a fast-growing global segment that blends science, health, and social experience.

Conceived by Stuti Srivastava, a young entrepreneur educated in the US, Hado was born from a simple yet profound insight: India needed a social drink that was healthy, inclusive, and aligned with mindful living.

In a market dominated by alcohol and sugary sodas, Hado offers a refreshing alternative — beverages crafted with natural botanicals, herbs, and adaptogens that energise, calm, or uplift, depending on one’s mood and moment. It brings people together, like alcohol does, but without its ill effects.

The Founders: Legacy Meets Purpose

At the helm of Indra Shakti Ventures is Sumeet Srivastava, a veteran entrepreneur whose journey mirrors the evolution of India’s startup landscape. Today, having achieved success in technology, Sumeet has redirected his focus toward building an enduring impact in Bharat’s F&B ecosystem.

Alongside Sumeet is Stuti Srivastava, young founder of Hado. Representing the next generation of entrepreneurs who blend global exposure with Bharatiya ethos, Stuti’s creative energy and vision complement Sumeet’s strategic depth.

Investment, Employment & Impact

Indra Shakti Ventures has made significant self-funded investments across both brands — setting up advanced food processing and beverage manufacturing infrastructure. These investments are not just about business capacity; they are about building ecosystems.

Collectively, Swah and Hado have already generated hundreds of rural and semi-urban jobs, with projections to create over 1,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities in the coming years. From farmers and food technologists to logistics professionals and brand builders, Indra Shakti Ventures is nurturing a workforce that reflects the breadth of Bharat’s talent.
