On the festival of Vijayadashami, symbolizing the victory of righteousness over unrighteousness, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh celebrated its 100th Foundation Day. On this occasion, programs were organized at 9 places in Jalandhar city. At the function organized at S.D. College, on behalf of Gobind Nagar, Vijay Kumar, Akhil Bharatiya Sah-Vyavastha Pramukh of the Sangh, addressed the gathering. In his address, he said that the renaissance of India is possible only through the organized strength of society.

Remembering the forthcoming 350th martyrdom day of Guru Tegh Bahadur, Sangh officer Vijay Kumar said that Guru Ji, by sacrificing his life, gave the message of protecting human rights and human values. He conveyed that every religion in the world deserves respect, and no one has the right to oppress others based on religion or to force anyone to change their faith. On this occasion, Mahanagar Sanghchalak Vijay Gulati and Govind Nagar Sanghchalak Raman Sharma were also present on the stage. The ceremony was presided over by Swami Sajjananand from Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, Noormahal, while social worker S. Iqbal Singh Arneja attended as the chief guest.

During the Ram Nagar function held at JC Resorts, Chaugitti premises, the Chief Guest, S. Harjeet Singh and the keynote speaker, Rajinder Chattha, Sangthan Mantri of Vidya Bharati Punjab, performed the traditional worship of arms. Addressing the gathering, Chattha said that only through self-realization, environmental protection, fulfillment of civic duties, social harmony, and the ideal family system can India achieve holistic development. For the building and upliftment of any nation, its citizens must possess good character and be imbued with the spirit of patriotism. The Sangh is working for the nation’s supreme glory through the method of nation-building by character-building. Referring to the five transformations advocated by the Sangh, he said that by following the five principles—self-realization, environmental protection, fulfillment of civic duties, social harmony, and the ideal family system—we can ensure the progress of our country.

Mahanagar Sanghchalak Vijay Gulati informed that in the city, programs to mark the Sangh Foundation Day will be organized at 22 places between October 2 and 12. Today, on October 2, these programs were held at 9 places in the city. Apart from the localities mentioned above, the Subhash Nagar program, held at Radisson Park, was led by S.
