Delhi: A full emergency was declared at Delhi Airport on the morning of September 30 after an IndiGo flight from Mumbai received a bomb threat. According to reports, the flight, numbered 6E 762, was carrying approximately 200 passengers. Security agencies later determined that the threat was non-specific.

An IndiGo Spokesperson says, "A security threat was noticed onboard IndiGo flight 6E 762 operating from Mumbai to Delhi on 30 September 2025. Following the established protocol, we informed the relevant authorities immediately and fully cooperated with them in carrying out the…

An IndiGo spokesperson stated, “A security threat was identified on IndiGo flight 6E 762 from Mumbai to Delhi on September 30, 2025. In line with standard protocol, we promptly alerted the relevant authorities and extended full cooperation to facilitate the necessary security checks before the aircraft was cleared for further operations.”

A source confirmed that a full emergency was declared for the flight upon its arrival at Delhi Airport. The flight, operated using an Airbus A321neo, landed at approximately 7:53 am, according to data from flight tracking website Flightradar24.com. An official statement from IndiGo is still awaited.

Meanwhile, the IndiGo spokesperson said, “We have taken all possible steps to minimise inconvenience to our passengers, including providing refreshments and keeping them informed with regular updates.”

Last week, an IndiGo flight from Mumbai to Phuket, Thailand, made an emergency landing at Chennai Airport following a reported bomb threat. CISF personnel and airport officials conducted thorough checks and determined the threat to be a hoax. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.

“IndiGo flight 6E 1089, operating from Mumbai to Phuket on September 19, was diverted to Chennai due to a security threat identified onboard,” the airline stated. In line with standard protocol, the relevant authorities were immediately informed, and the aircraft underwent necessary security checks in Chennai.

“Due to the night curfew at Phuket Airport, the continuation of the journey has been rescheduled for later in the night. We are doing everything possible to minimise inconvenience to our passengers, including providing refreshments and sharing regular updates,” IndiGo added. “The safety and security of our passengers, crew, and aircraft remain our highest priority,” the statement concluded.
