Groups including ‘Save Our Future and Our Kids Future’ also joined, protesting against the accommodation of illegal refugees in a hotel in Falkirk. Sir John Hayes, a senior Conservative, warned that the party risks collapse if leadership and policy changes are not implemented. Observers point to the growing online critique under the X handle “Kemi Countdown,” which regularly targets Badenoch’s leadership. A recent opinion poll suggests that, if a general election were held today, the Conservative Party’s representation in Parliament could shrink dramatically, potentially to double digits. Several MPs are reportedly considering resignation, fearing electoral defeat if they remain with the party.
