Sharing his delight, the Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay on the occasion said that the temple will further strengthen the bonds of friendship between Bhutan and Bharat.

“This temple is not just a religious structure — it is a symbol of trust, confidence, and deep-seated genuine friendship between our two countries,” said PM Tobgay.

PM Tobgay added that to have a Buddhist temple in Rajgir, Bodh Gaya, is deeply appropriate and meaningful.

I had the privilege of visiting Nalanda University today. Humbled by its legacy that shaped Bhutan’s Vajrayana traditions, and inspired by students & faculty carrying its spirit forward. Invited them to Bhutan’s Global Peace Prayer Festival this Nov. pic.twitter.com/fDvmDet0KK
