“Our Sanatana Dharma is very precious one, which is what we are all calling as Hindu Dharma,” affirmed Kanchi Peethadhipati Pujya Sri Vijayendra Saraswati Swami ji, addressing a gathering of over 400 SC women and 100 men in Tirupati. In his benediction speech, the Swami ji urged devotees to remember their favourite deity every day, to wear a tilak on their forehead, and to draw a muggu (rangoli) in front of every house.

The event ‘Janabyudaya Sabha’ held on August 31 as part of his Chaturmasa Deeksha in Tirupati, was specially dedicated to SC families. The programme witnessed participation from devotees across Andhra Pradesh along with several prominent personalities, including Shyam Prasad, National Convener of Samajika Samarasatha; Venkatesh, former Chairman of the National Safai Karmachari Commission; Subbaiah, State President of the SC, ST Rights Welfare Forum; Modapothula Satyanarayana Gandhi, District President of SC, ST Rights from Kadapa; Sri Sri Jaganmata Maremma Temple Trustee; Sri Pushpagiri Tirtha Kshetra Dharma Parirakshan Samiti Founder-President; Lawyer Satti Bharavi; Penubala Chandrasekhar from Tirupati; and Munisubramaniam.

As part of the proceedings, portraits of Adi Shankara were presented to all devotees, while women participants received kumkum and sarees. Many expressed that they felt blessed to have been part of such an auspicious gathering under the Seer’s guidance.

The event was organised by Darshanpu Srinivas Kiran Kumar, Tirupati District General Secretary of the SC, ST Rights Welfare Platform.
