A major controversy broke out after the said video of the accused hurling abuses at PM and his late mother surfaced online, prompting sharp reactions from NDA leaders.

Multiple Chief Ministers along with senior leaders of the NDA lashes out at the Congress party for the abuse incident and the ‘indecent language used against the PM during the ongoing Voter Adhikar Yatra of the Mahagathbandhan parties.

Condemning the incident, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on X said The use of indecent language against the Hon’ble PM and his late mother from the Congress and RJD platform during the Voter Adhikar Yatra in Darbhanga is extremely unbecoming and I condemn it”.

Expressing similar views, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday too slammed the opposition parties over the incident and said that such remarks were an insult to 140 crore Indians.

— Yogi Adityanath (@myogiadityanath) August 28, 2025

“He (PM Modi) is the world’s most popular leader now. This undignified language from the INDIA bloc platform is an insult to 140 crore Indians. The people of Bihar will give them a befitting reply. No civilised society can accept such language. Congress and RJD leaders should apologise for this,” Adityanath told reporters

Earlier BJP leader Krishna Singh Kallu filed a complaint against Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, calling for putting a stop to the ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ in the poll-bound state. Another FIR was also filed by the police at Simri police station.

Meanwhile, the local congress leader Md. Naushad issued an apology over the incident, claiming that he was unaware of the incident as he along with other leaders had left the venue.
