“With profound respect for Bharat’s armed forces, I urge every citizen, especially the youth, to draw inspiration from their spirit of service and sacrifice. Patriotism should not be seen as a slogan but as a way of life rooted in responsibility, unity, and action,” expressed M Venkaiah Naidu in his keynote address. He was speaking at an event titled “Saluting Our Heroes – Operation Sindoor,” to pay national tribute to our bravehearts. The event was held at the Engineering Staff College of India (ESCI), Gachibowli, Hyderabad under the auspices of the Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh (ABRSM) on August 3, 2025. Quoting from ancient scriptures and freedom fighters, Naidu called for instilling patriotic values through education and public engagement. Dr G Satheesh Reddy, in his address, praised the extraordinary precision and effectiveness of Operation Sindoor. He explained how the operation demonstrated Bharat’s indigenously developed military technologies—such as long-range drones, electronic warfare systems, and advanced air defence. He lauded the coordination between the three wings of the military and remarked that Bharat today stands as a technologically advanced and self-reliant defence power. Guntha Laxman underlined the role of ABRSM in bridging academia with national consciousness. He emphasised that the organisation is not just an academic body, but a national movement that aims to awaken educators and students to their duty towards Bharat. He highlighted ABRSM’s commitment to the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, societal harmony, and nation-building through informed and inspired youth. He called upon teachers and educational institutions to nurture patriotism, resilience, and civic responsibility.

A major highlight of the event was the release of the official theme song, “Shaurya Geetham – Saluting the Soldiers, A Song of Sacrifice.” The song was presented as an artistic tribute to Bharat’s soldiers, celebrating their sacrifice through melody and verse. The music and vocals were composed and rendered by Sri Ballepalli Mohan, whose stirring voice added emotional depth to the composition. The lyrics, rich in patriotic sentiment, were penned by Sri Agaram Vasanth (Hosur) and Sri Ramana Vanamala Garu. The English translation, which beautifully retained the essence of the original Telugu lines, was done by Dr Vangeepuram Sreenatha Chary, a Guinness World Record Holder in English. The melody coordination of the song “Sainikude Desa Premikudu” was skilfully handled by Sri Ravi Varma Potedar, ensuring a harmonious and uplifting musical experience. The songs were lauded for their emotional depth, cultural relevance, and musical elegance. The event honoured the courage, commitment, and sacrifice of Bharat’s armed forces, especially in light of Operation Sindoor—Bharat’s precise military retaliation to the Pahalgam terror attack of April 22, 2025, in which 26 innocent tourists lost their lives. Operation Sindoor, executed on May 7, 2025, struck multiple terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu-Kashmir (POJK), showcasing Bharat’s strategic restraint, technological superiority, and seamless coordination among the armed forces. The operation sent a strong global message that Bharat stands united against terrorism. The programme was graced by eminent dignitaries including, M Venkaiah Naidu, Former Vice President of Bharat, Dr G Satheesh Reddy, Former Chairman, DRDO, Guntha Laxman, National Joint Organising Secretary, ABRSM. Distinguished defence officers, senior academicians, educators, and youth representatives participated in large numbers.
