A nine-year-old girl was found brutally raped and murdered in Dayalpur, North East Delhi, on Bakrid; her body was discovered stuffed in a suitcase. The family suspects local resident Naushad, who is currently absconding, as police intensify their search and investigation

A horrific crime has shaken the Dayalpur area of North East Delhi, where the semi-nude, blood-soaked body of a 9-year-old girl was discovered stuffed inside a suitcase in a locked flat on Bakrid. The victim’s family suspects a local resident, Naushad, who is currently at large, of committing the brutal rape and murder.

According to reports, the girl’s father, who resides in Nehru Vihar, stated that his daughter had gone to a relative’s house on the evening of June 7 to deliver ice. When she didn’t return after a considerable time, the family began to search, which tragically led to the discovery of her body. Police are actively searching for Naushad as investigations continue.

Further grim details have come to light regarding the tragic murder of a 9-year-old girl. The victim’s body was discovered in a locked flat after a tip-off led her family to the location, approximately 200 meters from their home.

Upon reaching the flat, which was locked, the victim’s father reportedly broke open the door. Inside, he found a suitcase, and upon opening it, he discovered his daughter lying unconscious with no clothes on her lower body. She was immediately rushed to a hospital, where she was tragically declared dead.

A medical examination has since confirmed that the young girl was raped before her murder, and injury marks were also found on her face. The family has accused Naushad, who remains at large, of the heinous crime.

North East District DCP Ashish Mishra has confirmed the rape and the presence of injury marks. The victim’s body has been placed in the mortuary. Police are currently scrutinising CCTV footage from the area and have assured the public that the accused will be apprehended soon.
