‘Roar of Indian forces reached Rawalpindi’: Rajnath Singh hails the success of Operation Sindoor

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on May 11 declared that Operation Sindoor had delivered a resounding message deep into Pakistan, asserting that “the roar of Indian forces reached Rawalpindi,” the headquarters of Pakistan’s military establishment.

pic.twitter.com/Lmoj3MrYey

Addressing the virtual inauguration of the BrahMos Aerospace Integration and Testing Facility in Lucknow, Singh said the operation reflected India’s firm political resolve, formidable military strength, and zero-tolerance approach towards terrorism.

“We didn’t confine our response to border posts—the roar of Indian forces echoed all the way to Rawalpindi, the headquarters of the Pakistani Army,” he stated.

Launched on May 7 in retaliation for the Pakistan-backed terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22 that claimed 26 lives, Operation Sindoor struck nine terror camps located across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

The Defence Minister asserted that the operation sends an unmistakable message — terrorist infrastructure, regardless of its location, even across the border, is well within India’s reach.

pic.twitter.com/ebaiC6Xl6v

Rajnath Singh stated that the world has witnessed the consequences faced by those who dare to launch terrorist attacks on India. “After the Uri attack, our forces carried out a surgical strike inside Pakistan. Following Pulwama, we conducted an airstrike in Balakot. And now, in response to the Pahalgam incident, India has executed multiple strikes deep within Pakistan,” he said.

He added that this is no longer the India of the past. Under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, this “New India” responds with strength, precision, and resolve.

Singh highlighted that while Pakistan targeted places of worship, including temples and gurdwaras, India maintained its moral high ground by avoiding civilian areas. “Our forces acted with courage and restraint, selecting military targets with precision. We struck where it mattered most—both strategically and symbolically,” he said.

Describing Operation Sindoor as a powerful demonstration of India’s unified political, social, and military determination, Singh asserted that the operation had delivered a clear warning to anti-India forces and their supporters: there are no safe havens—not even in Rawalpindi.
