Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on April 24 visited the residence of Somisetti Madhusudhana Rao, a native of Kavali, Nellore dist, who was brutally killed in the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir. Accompanied by State Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar and other dignitaries, the Deputy CM paid floral tributes to the mortal remains of the deceased and offered heartfelt condolences to the grieving family.

Describing the attack as “inhuman and demonic,” Pawan Kalyan condemned the terrorists for ruthlessly targeting innocent tourists. “They asked him what religion he followed and then mercilessly killed him. India will never forget this atrocity,” he stated.

Recalling his own experiences in Kashmir during the late 1980s, Pawan Kalyan remarked, “I’ve seen the terrain firsthand. When bullets are fired in Kashmir, the entire nation feels the tremors. The Pahalgam attack is yet another grim reminder.”

Moved by the grief of the bereaved family, the Deputy CM said he was left speechless hearing their pain. “Words fail when you witness such agony. The government will stand firmly with the victim’s family and extend all possible support. But beyond compensation, it is solidarity that matters in moments like these,” he added.

He also assured that a press conference would be held in Mangalagiri after visiting the family of another victim, Chandramouli from Visakhapatnam.

State ministers Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, Satyakumar Yadav, and MLAs including Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy and Dagumati Venkata Krishna Reddy also took part in the funeral procession, expressing solidarity with the family during their final rites.
