BJP-backed candidate Malka Komuraiah has secured victory in the Teachers’ MLC election for Karimnagar-Medak-Nizamabad-Adilabad. The counting process, held at Ambedkar Indoor Stadium in Karimnagar, concluded yesterday.

Out of 2,50,106 votes cast in the constituency, Komuraiah secured 12,959 votes, ensuring his win. His victory is being seen as a major boost for the BJP in the region.

Reacting to the victory, Union Minister and BJP Telangana President G Kishan Reddy congratulated Komuraiah and described the win as a testament to the growing support for the BJP and the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Telangana.

“Hearty congratulations to Shri Malka Komuraiah (@MalkaKomaraiah) garu on winning the Telangana MLC election from the Medak-Karimnagar-Adilabad-Nizamabad (Teachers’) constituency. This victory reflects the overwhelming trust in the BJP and the leadership of Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi in Telangana,” Kishan Reddy posted on X.

He further expressed gratitude to the teachers who voted for change and development and acknowledged the efforts of BJP Karyakartas, whose dedication, he said, made this victory possible.

Meanwhile, in the Nalgonda-Khammam-Warangal Teachers’ MLC election, Sri Pal Reddy won after a closely fought contest. Officials had to proceed with an elimination process as no candidate secured the magic figure in the first-preference vote count. Reddy eventually defeated sitting MLC Narsi Reddy with second-preference votes.

A total of 24,139 voters exercised their franchise in this constituency. The counting process, which began at 8 AM, concluded by 9 PM across 25 tables.
