Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended the ‘Mukhya Sevak Samvad-Aapke Dwar’ event and addressed various people’s concerns, including the newly passed land law.

In his speech, he responded to public sentiments about the protection of Uttarakhand’s resources and demographic balance.

“The people of Uttarakhand state have, from time to time, expressed their sentiments for a land law, and this demand has been raised on many platforms that the resources of Uttarakhand are being wasted and the outsiders are tampering with the demography here. This time the land law has been passed in the assembly. Our state government fulfilled all the promises, and similarly, this time, the ‘Bhu Kanoon’ was also introduced in the assembly session…,” Dhami stated.

He also praised the women of Uttarakhand for their contributions to the local economy. “Through their skills and hard work, one lakh sisters in the state have become lakhpatis. In every field, be it sewing, knitting, toys, the demand for products prepared by our sisters is increasing in the country and abroad,” he added.

The CM also touched upon the expansion of the Hanol temple, with plans to meet growing demand.

“The master plan of Hanol temple will be expanded as per the need. I am an ardent devotee of Mahasu Maharaj. With his blessings, hotels, taxis, and local products will flourish here in the coming times,” he said.

Dhami also highlighted the state’s progress in addressing unemployment. “By reducing the unemployment rate in Uttarakhand by 4.4 per cent, we have left the national average behind,” he concluded, signalling continued growth and development for the region.

Meanwhile, Dhami on Sunday slammed the Opposition for questioning the quality of water at Triveni Sangam, where thousands have taken a holy dip, and said that some leaders are unable to digest the success of Mahakumbh.

Speaking to mediapersons, Dhami asserted that very good arrangements have been made for Mahakumbh under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“A large number of people have taken a dip in the holy Sangam…I also took a holy dip. Some people want to hurt spirituality and religious places and are spreading such rumours (raising questions about the quality of water in Sangam). Some leaders are unable to digest the success of Maha Kumbh…Very good arrangements have been made for Mahakumbh under the leadership of PM Modi and UP CM Yogi Adityanath,” he said.
