Bihar: “Deals related to kidnapping were finalised at CM house,” claims Lalu Yadav’s son-in-law Subhash Yadav

Patna: Former Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP and RJD supremo Lalu Yadav’s son-in-law Subhash Yadav on Thursday, February 13, stormed the political galleries of the state by levelling serious allegations against former Chief Minister Lalu Yadav.

In separate interactions with journalist in Patna, Subhash alleged that deals pertaining to prominent kidnappings in the state were once settled at the Chief Minister’s house.

He alleged that RJD Chief Lalu Yadav was himself involved in finalising deals for such abductions related cases, however the allegations for misrule were labeled against him and his brother Sadhu Yadav only.

Subhash further defended himself, citing that he has done no crime, and it was only after he left RJD then the party’s decline started in the state. He also predicted that RJD will confine to only few seats in the upcoming polls.

Referring to a famous kidnapping incident of Jauhar Goel, a relative of former MP Shubhash Chandra in Purnia-Araria region, he alleged that “everyone knows who received the ransom amount in that case. Jakir Hussain was believed to be the key man behind that kidnapping and Premchand Gupta, Shabbuddin and Lalu Yadav were all calling Hussain to set free Goel. The case was finalised by Premchand Gupta and Lalu Yadav eventually” claimed Subhash who was a member of parliament from RJD till 2010.

He further claimed that Azad Gandhi was a close aide of his and the cars brought for Lalu’s daughter wedding from a showroom in Patna was only after Lalu’s nod.

Subhash’s disclosure has now stormed the already heated politics of the state with many senior NDA leaders seeking a reply from RJD over the claims made by Yadav.

Thanking Subhash for spilling the beans, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state unit president and Minister in Nitish Kumar led NDA government, Dilip Jaiswal on Thursday said “Thankyou Shubhash for bringing out the truth. The two relatives of Lalu Yadav, Subhash and Sadhu Yadav were very close to the CM house and the then Chief Minister Rabri Devi. Hence if they were revealing something, then it must go to the people. The truth should go to the public.”

Senior Janata Dal (United) leader and Minister Niraj Bablu too trained guns at the RJD stating, that whatever we have been saying till now that there was a Jungle Raj when RJD was in power, the same has been confirmed by the family members. There were kidnappings and the CM himself was involved in finalsing deals.

It must be noted here that the state of Bihar in late 90s was marred by a barrage of kidnapping incidents which continued to rocked the state for a long period of time, instilling fear in the general masses. The kidnapping incidents further continued to flourish like a well-organised crime industry for a notable period, denting a significant damage to state’s economic growth and its law-and-order image with many terming it Jungle Raj (a state of lawlessness).
