Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale visited the grand Prayagraj Mahakumbh on a two-day tour from February 9 to 10. Addressing the significance of the Mahakumbh, Dattatreya Hosabale emphasised that it is not just a congregation of people but a sacred confluence of devotees. He underscored that Mahakumbh is more than a fair representing Sanatan culture—it is a great festival of resolution.

Highlighting the importance of Hindu religion, culture, and traditions, Dattatreya Hosabale stressed the need for transmitting these values to the younger generation. He stated that the protection and promotion of religion, culture, and society would be possible only through the collective and coordinated efforts of the “gentlemen power,” “sant power,” and “governance power” within the society.

Dattatreya Hosabale’s visit to Prayagraj Mahakumbh comes amid an extraordinary religious gathering where crores of devotees are participating in sacred rituals and taking the holy dip in the Sangam. His message called for unity among sants, scholars, and government institutions to safeguard and strengthen the core values of Sanatan Dharma.

As of February 9, an astounding 43.57 crore devotees have taken a holy dip in the sacred waters, marking a rare celestial conjunction occurring once in 144 years. On February 8 alone, over 1.57 crore devotees participated in the spiritual ritual.

With lakhs of sants and pilgrims arriving from across the world, Mahakumbh has once again proven to be one of the largest spiritual congregations globally. The event reflects the deep-rooted faith and cultural unity of Bharat’s Sanatan tradition.

Dattatreya Hosabale’s visit and his insightful address have further strengthened the spiritual fervor of the Mahakumbh, reinforcing the importance of preserving and promoting Hindu religious and cultural heritage. His stay in Prayagraj continues until February 10, as devotees from all walks of life engage in rituals and prayers at the sacred confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mystical Saraswati.
