“We assure the whole world that Bharat becoming powerful does not mean being a destroyer but a protector; the protector of the weak, the helper of the helpless. Only Bharat has the capability of carrying the whole world along with it. This is our vision of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. We consider the whole world as a family,” said RSS All India Executive Committee Member Bhaiyaji Joshi. He was speaking on the occasion of inauguration of Hindu Adhyatmik Seva Mela organised by Hindu Adhyatmik evam Seva Sansthan.
The Hindu Adhyatmik Seva Mela was inaugurated on Thursday at the Gujarat University ground near Helmet Circle in the presence of Bhaiyaji Joshi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Chandraprakash Dwivedi of Chanakya serial and other eminent guests and sants. The fair, which will run from 23 to 26 January, will be a beautiful confluence of various cultural, religious and creative topics.

All communities can follow their own views, but if they do not allow freedom for others to survive, how will there be peace. Only the one who carries everyone along will have influence on the world, only he can run the world, not the one with material wealth or sufficient numbers.
He said that we are fortunate to be born in a country like Bharat, the sacred land of Gods, the land of sants and ascetics, the land that teaches sacrifice and dedication. Our older generation has experienced British colonisation, but we are fortunate to be called the citizens of an independent country. A cycle of change has started in the country. Today we are seeing our country being respected on the world stage. Sants and great men expect us to not be silent witnesses, but become active partners in bringing this change. Bhaiyaji Joshi said that there is an unnecessary global misconception that doing service is only for a few selected people, but Bharat has an ancient tradition, even today about one crore people receive Anna Daan. Be it the langar of Gurudwaras, or bhandaras, people accept it as prasad through various such arrangements. We consider this as virtuous. The religious institutions in Bharat are not just limited to worship, rituals or ceremonies. In fact, many types of work like schools, hospitals, sanskar kendras, Gurukuls imparting education of Vedas etc. are done under the guidance of sants. This is not a new thing.
He said that when we say Hindu, it includes many things. Hindu means dharma, spirituality, an idea, a way of life, values and service. Hindu is not just a person who goes to temples or performs rituals, the identity of Hindu is formed by many aspects. When we talk about dharma, its central point is humanity, relations are linked to duty, mutual cooperation, truth and justice. Hindu society has always been ready to go to any lengths to protect dharma. Dharma is the one that teaches us to discern between Dharma and Adharma. Sometimes, to protect non-violence, one has to take the support of violence also. Dharma is a sadhana (Practice). Even today, in the Himalayan hills, in the forests, in the far-flung areas, away from our sight, such great men are constantly engaged in their sadhana. Their sadhana has been protecting Bharat. There are many such sants who are protecting this holy land with their spiritual sadhana.
