During a program commemorating the 76th Republic Day, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat emphasised the growing expectations of global leadership from India, urging citizens to work with a spirit of dedication towards the nation and society.

Speaking at the event organised by Padmashree Annasaheb Jadhav Bharatiya Samaj Unnati Mandal in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra, Dr Bhagwat highlighted the sacrifices and efforts of countless individuals who have propelled India to its current stature. “The whole world is expecting leadership from India. Many people have dedicated themselves to bring India to this level. We have to guide the world with a spirit of dedication. Through this, we will be able to take India to the position of Vishwa Guru. I am confident that the coming generation will follow this path and make India proud on the global stage,” he said.

The event began with Dr. Bhagwat hoisting the national flag at the premises of Padmashree Annasaheb Jadhav Vidyalaya. In his address, he elaborated on the symbolism of the Indian tricolour, stating, “The orange in the national flag represents sacrifice and inspires selflessness. The white symbolises purity, and the green stands for prosperity. The Ashok Chakra signifies mutual brotherhood, harmony, and unity, which are crucial for the progress of our nation.”

Dr. Bhagwat also shed light on the broader definition of religion, quoting Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar. “Religion is not merely about worship but about conduct. Brotherly love is the eternal religion. If individuals grow on the basis of brotherhood, it leads to the growth of their families and, subsequently, society,” he explained.

The program witnessed the presence of prominent dignitaries, including Padmashree Annasaheb Jadhav, President of Bharatiya Samaj Unnati Mandal Dr Vijay Jadhav, and Executive President Balkrishna Kale. They paid tribute to the contributions of Annasaheb Jadhav, whose vision and sacrifices laid the foundation for the progress of society.

Adding vibrance to the occasion, a cultural program was organised, showcasing the talent of young students. Potdar School students performed yoga demonstrations, while Scout Guide students of Padmashree Annasaheb Jadhav Vidyalaya and Junior College presented captivating performances, reflecting the rich heritage and aspirations of the youth.
