The Uttar Pradesh government is constructing India’s first Dome City at Mahakumbh, set to be unveiled during the 2025 festival. This ambitious Rs 51-crore project, being developed on a sprawling 3.25-hectare site in Arail, Mahakumbh Nagar, promises to offer visitors an unparalleled experience.

The Dome City, a collaboration between the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department and private developer Evo Life Space Pvt. Ltd., is part of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision to elevate the Mahakumbh to a global level. This innovative venture will provide visitors with a unique opportunity to stay in state-of-the-art domes and cottages while enjoying panoramic 360-degree views of the Kumbh from a hill-station-like vantage point.

A total of 44 domes, each measuring 32×32 feet, will be constructed with polycarbonate sheets that are both bulletproof and fireproof. Standing at heights of 15 to 18 feet, these domes will offer a high level of comfort and security for visitors. The Dome City will also feature 176 cottages, each designed with modern amenities such as air conditioning, geysers, and facilities for serving satvik food.

Visitors will experience luxury accommodation in these facilities, with domes priced at Rs 1,10,000 during the bathing festival and Rs 81,000 on regular days. Cottages will be available for Rs 81,000 during the festival and Rs 41,000 on regular days. Online booking for both domes and cottages has already begun.

To enhance the spiritual ambiance, the Dome City will offer arrangements for cultural and religious presentations, adding a unique touch to the modern infrastructure. The development of the Dome City aims to create international-level tourism facilities, setting new standards for future Mahakumbh events.

Amit Johri, Director of Evo Life Space Pvt. Ltd., expressed excitement about the project, emphasizing that the Dome City will provide tourists and devotees with an experience like never before. Visitors will be able to enjoy the grandness of the Mahakumbh from a vantage point that offers comfort, luxury, and a deep connection with the spiritual atmosphere of the event.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is scheduled to inspect Mahakumbh preparations on December 23. During his visit, he may also explore the Dome City as part of his tour of the Tent City, further underscoring the project’s significance in enhancing the Mahakumbh experience.
