The grand Lokmanthan Bhagyanagar 2024, concluded on November 24 with a resounding call for Bharat to reclaim its civilisational ethos and assert its unique approach to global challenges. The event (Nov 21-24), held in Bhagyanagar , brought together thought leaders, cultural icons, and delegates from across the world, reaffirming Bharat’s role as a guiding light in the modern era.

Mohan Bhagwat: Knowledge with Dharma, Strength to Protect Ourselves

In his concluding address, RSS Sarsanghchalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat provided a profound perspective on Bharat’s eternal concepts of Dharma and creation. He emphasized that while the world races ahead without contemplating its destination, Bharat has always reflected on the deeper truth of unity and oneness.

He remarked, “There is no need to respond to those whose experiments have failed over the last 2,000 years. Our focus should be on guiding our own people—those entangled in false narratives or countering them. On the global stage, we will play by our predefined parameters and in our unique way.”

Shri Bhagwat drew parallels from Puranic symbolism, stating, “Just as Halahala emerged during the churning of the ocean, challenges will arise. But we are prepared to bear them and serve Amrit for the welfare of all.” He also called for taking the Lokmanthan initiative to rural Bharat, urging smaller gatherings in villages to engage with grassroots voices.

He concluded by expressing his gratitude, saying that even his own understanding had expanded through the deliberations of Lokmanthan Bhagyanagar 2024.

Event Highlights and Participation

Nandkumar Ji of Pragna Pravah presented the event report, showcasing the massive scale of participation:

  • Over 2 lakh footfalls
  • 1,502 delegates
  • 37 thematic pavilions
  • Delegates from 12 nations
  • 1,500 artists representing Bharat’s diverse cultural heritage

Nirmala Sitharaman: Bharat’s Civilisational Resilience

Union Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman highlighted Bharat’s unmatched ability to preserve its unity amidst historical challenges.

She said, “The native tribes of Europe, Canada, Australia, and Egypt have been persecuted and continue to struggle for equality. In contrast, Bharat’s Itihasas and Puranas celebrate the oneness of Vanavasi, Gramavaasi, and Nagaravaasi. This vision of inclusivity has kept our civilisation intact.”

She also spoke about Bharat’s resilience against the onslaught of Abrahamic religions, which led to the extinction of many ancient civilisations. “Our civilisation has not just survived but thrived, owing to the principles of Dharma that guide us,” she added.

Shekhawat and Kishan Reddy: Reclaiming Bharat’s Cultural Richness

Union Minister for Culture Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat reflected on the distortions in Bharat’s history, even post-Independence. He remarked, “We missed the opportunity to reclaim our roots after Independence, but now we are finally on the path to rediscovering our original thought and way of life.”

Union Minister for Coal and Mines Shri G. Kishan Reddy, who presided over the event, lauded the participation and cultural richness showcased at Lokmanthan. He emphasized the importance of such platforms in uniting Bharat and inspiring action for the nation’s progress.

With its diverse discussions and cultural exhibits, Lokmanthan Bhagyanagar 2024 has emerged as a pivotal event in Bharat’s journey of civilisational awakening. The conclave concluded with a collective resolve to blend ancient wisdom with modern aspirations, paving the way for a future rooted in Dharma and unity.
