The real game in Manipur, Bangladesh and why the days of these motivated elements are numbered

Violence in both Manipur and Bangladesh are on the rise. A closer look at what the Intelligence agencies are gathering suggests that it is being orchestrated by the same persons with a common agenda. It is just not what meets the eye and is aimed at something bigger. However, all this is about to change

In Bangladesh and Manipur, what was at first presumed as protests over local issues such as reservation among others has now turned into full-blown motivated propaganda.

There is violence in Manipur, Bangladesh and Myanmar and very often agencies have pointed towards the presence of the deep state which has been fuelling these incidents. The more one looks at the violence that is taking place, it becomes evident that there is every attempt being made at ethnic cleansing to achieve a larger goal.

For some time now, it has been said that motivated players funded by the likes of George Soros have been making attempts to establish a foothold in the region by creating an independent Christian Zo state. This state would comprise, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Manipur and Mizoram.

The larger plan is to provide a strategic stronghold for influence by the Western forces in Southeast Asia. These players are attempting to do so by using the Christian Kuki-Chin-Mizo people.

Take a look at the manner in which events have unfolded both in Manipur and Bangladesh. The common attempt being made is to overpower the Hindu community. While in Bangladesh, the Hindus are a minority, the same is not the case in Manipur.

In Manipur the Kuki population is heavily involved in poppy cultivation and drug smuggling from Myanmar. The Christian Kukis are mostly illegal immigrants from Myanmar into Manipur. These are the same people who continue to indulge in conflict with the native Meitei community, which is mainly Hindu.

The entire design began with the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government in Bangladesh. With Hasina out of the picture, all efforts were made to back the Christian Kuki community. Funds have been poured in to back them into creating a power base and also establishing a drug corridor between India, Bangladesh and Myanmar.

An age-old problem

Attempts to Christianise Manipur and some other parts of Northeast was made since the 19th century. Since that time the conversions by the missionaries has been rampant, which in turn has significantly altered the demographics of the Northeastern states of Mizoram, Meghalaya and Nagaland.

Take a look at the demographic change in Manipur3 which was a Hindu-Sanamahi state. In 1913, the Christian population was at 8 per cent and today it stands at 41. That is nearly half the population of the state.

The Americans have always had an interest in changing the demographics in Manipur. Unlike the British, who gave up after facing difficulties, the Americans however remained relentless. Missionary schools were set up through which the so-called superior Western form of education was introduced. Then came the Western concept of feminism among the tribal women.

Between 191 and 1941, there was a slight decline in such activity owing to World War II. The missionaries did not have political backing at that time and hence their activities stalled considerably during this period. However from 1950 onwards, things rapidly changed and the arrival of the American Southern Baptist Church ensured that Christian population in Mizoram and Nagaland became 90 per cent and 46 per cent respectively.

The role of Nehru

A lot of blame could be placed on Jawaharlal Nehru who facilitated fast paced Christianisation in Northeast. In 1942 when Sir Reginald Coupland from Britain visited India, he ensured that the missionary agenda in this region continues with full vigour. He planned a separate condominium which comprised the Northeastern states and Burma. This would comprise the loyal Christian tribal hill people and while he did so, Nehru agreed.

Nehru remained mum on the issue when the trial rights in Northeast were disregarded and over time became non-existent in some parts. To make matters worse these evangelists became advisors to Nehru. Dr. Verrier Elwin, a Christian evangelist who claimed to be an advisor to Nehru signed an agreement that disallowed the entry of Hindu sadhus into Nagland.

A last ditch attempt in Manipur

The ongoing conflict could be seen as a last ditch attempt to Christianise Manipur. The evangelists were not exactly successful when it came to Manipur as it was ruled by a Hindu king as a result of which it did not come under British control.

However in. 1891, the British conquered Manipur, but the king remained in control. The king even ensured that the British keep their evangelists out of Manipur.

A mistake to allow a school in Manipur became the turning point. An American Baptist Mission along with William Pettigrew, a British missionary were allowed to set up a school in the state on the condition that they do not preach Christianity. In 1894, they were allowed to continue with evangelical work in the hilly regions of Manipur, especially under the Tangkhul tribes. This led to the start of full fledged conversions and the baits used were medical aid and education.

Since then it has been an on and off battle in Manipur. While the Hindus remained dominant, the worry was about the rise in the number of converted Christians. Today if one looks at the trouble in Manipur it is evident that a motivated lot is hell bent on changing the demographics further as well as establish a drug corridor between Myanmar, Manipur and Bangladesh.

The deep state has taken advantage of the situation and are using the Christian-Kuki-Chin-Zomi tribes to further drug trade. These persons are the ones who have infiltrated into India following the 2021 Myanmar coup.

If one takes a closer look, the violence has touched its peak both in Bangladesh as well as Manipur. This could also do with the fact that a regime change has taken place in the United States. This regime has no interest in such activities and wants to stay away from any interference in other countries.

President-elect Donald Trump is slated to be inaugurated on January 20 and until such time, the department state and other motivated elements would look to push their agenda as much as possible before that day.

A change waiting to happen

On the persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh both Trump as well as his Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard have spoken their minds. Bharat would engage with both leaders on the issue during the many interactions set to take place and this issue would top the agenda.

While both have not mentioned Manipur, them being in administration would indirectly have a bearing on the issue. Donald Trump has made it clear that he would dismantle any such elements operating on foreign soil. He also has a seven point agenda to take down the deep state.

Peace in the region is important for both India and the US and hence they would engage closely on restoring the same. Donald Trump does not share any rapport with the caretaker of Bangladesh, Muhammad Yunus. However Yunus does share great ties with the Democrats and them not being in administration would be a big blow to him. He has very often been called a Western puppet and under the Trump years, he will be forced to give up on the West’s ugly agenda for the region.

Moreover the Union Government has also upped the ante in Manipur. It has realised that talks are failing because of motivated interests. The time has come to use force against the militants and drug cartels. That explains why Armed Forces Special Powers Act or AFSPA is back in six police station areas. Further, additional central forces have been sent to the state to reign in on elements disrupting peace and further their drug cartels.

There is also heavy vigil on the border to prevent infiltrations. The arms smuggling has to stop an official involved in the operations tells Organiser. He further adds that there has been heavy arms smuggling and looting of weapons. So far 70 per cent of the weapons (3,000) have been recovered and they include, M16, AK series among others.

In the wake of these rapid changes taking place on the world stage and with Bharat upping the ante, the motivated elements would make a last ditch attempt to indulge in more acts of arson. They want to get as much done as soon as possible as they are aware that their time is up says another official specialising in counterterrorism.
