Low margin seats are always crucial. All parties make their strategy considering such seats. Both the contending parties of low margin seats try their best either to continue or to grab the seat from the winner. The party which wins low margin seats are more prone to form government either in State or at Centre.

High turnout is always a boon for the BJP in Jharkhand. The BJP always suffers a lot in case of low voting in Jharkhand either in case of Lok Sabha or Assembly elections. Low voting is always the biggest obstacle for the BJP to win any election either of Lok Sabha or of Assembly.

In the previous 2019 Assembly election in Jharkhand the lowest seat margin was Simdega in Simdega district. The seat was decided by margin on merely 295 votes and the Congress party defeated the BJP on the seat. In the 2019 Assembly election in Jharkhand 19 seats were decided by a margin of less than 10000 votes and the BJP was runner on 8 seats.

In the 2014 Assembly election in Jharkhand the lowest margin seat was Torpa. The seat was won by the Jharkahnd Mukti Morcha. The JMM defeated the BJP on the seat by margin of only 43 votes. In the 2014 Assembly poll 33 seats in Jharkhand were decided by margin of less than 10000 votes and the BJP was runner on 12 seats.

In the 2009 Assembly poll Hatia seat was decided by lowest vote share of 25 votes. On the Hatia seat in 2009 the Congress party defeated the BJP. In 2009 on Hatia seat Gopal Shahdeo of the Congress party defeated Ramjilal Sharda of the BJP. In 2009,like that of 2006 again 49 seats were decided by a margin of less than 10000 votes. The BJP was runner up on 16 seats.

In the first Jharkhand Assembly election in 2005 again 49, which is more than half of the seats in the State Assembly, seats were decided by margin of less than 10000 votes. In 2005 the lowest seat margin was Hussainabad which was won by Kamlesh Singh of the Nationalist Congress Party by margin of 28 votes only.
