The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has urged the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) to promptly address the grievances raised by candidates regarding the upcoming Provincial Civil Services (PCS) and Review Officer/Assistant Review Officer (RO/ARO) exams. ABVP officials emphasised that issues around exam management, center allocation, score normalisation, and the integrity of the examination process are creating apprehensions among aspirants and must be resolved to ensure a fair and transparent examination.
The organisation condemned the use of force against protesting candidates, stressing that dialogue should be the sole means to address such issues. ABVP National Secretary Ankit Shukla remarked, “Candidates have voiced numerous concerns about the UPPSC’s guidelines for the PCS and RO/ARO exams, resulting in protests across different levels. We urge the commission to resolve these concerns swiftly. Exam integrity and transparency are paramount, and the issues around center allocation and normalisation require serious attention.”
ABVP State Secretary Abhay Pratap Singh echoed this stance, calling on the UPPSC to expand the number of examination centers across more districts and ensure fair practices in the upcoming competitive exams. “The UPPSC must take candidates’ concerns seriously to avoid compromising the examination’s fairness. We condemn the forceful response against protestors and reiterate that constructive dialogue is the only way forward,” Singh stated.
ABVP called for immediate actions to restore candidates’ confidence in the examination process, ensuring they can prepare without doubts or disruptions. The organisation remains committed to supporting a transparent and fair examination environment for all aspirants.
