Youth Congress leader, Kuldeep Verma, has been arrested for stabbing his 19-year-old girlfriend, Tasleem, seven times with a knife. The attack, which left the young woman severely wounded, took place near Gandhi Vatika in the Neemuch Cantt police station area of Madhya Pradesh.

Kuldeep Verma, who is also a teacher at a private school, accused Tasleem of cheating on him before launching the vicious assault. A video of the incident has surfaced on social media, showing the victim lying in a pool of blood while Verma, 23, accuses her of infidelity, shouting, “She cheated me. These girls simply want money. How many boyfriends have you? Ayan, Ryan, Azad, Harshit.”

The police were alerted to the incident and arrived at the scene shortly thereafter. They rushed the injured Tasleem to the district hospital. Due to the severity of her injuries, her relatives later transferred her to a private hospital, where her condition is reported to be stable.

Verma, a resident of Kesarpura, fled the scene immediately after the attack. Tasleem, who lives in Bohra Bazaar, was left in critical condition. Notably, Kuldeep Verma has a prominent political background; he was formerly the college president of the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) at Gyanodaya Mahavidyalaya and was recently included in the district executive of the Youth Congress.

Eyewitnesses reported that the couple was arguing outside a park when Verma suddenly took out a knife and began stabbing Tasleem. Her screams attracted a crowd of onlookers, but shockingly, no one intervened to stop the assault or help the victim. Instead, many bystanders were seen taking videos and pictures of the horrifying scene.

The police have since arrested Kuldeep Verma and are interrogating him. The incident has sparked outrage and raised serious questions about public apathy and the safety of women.
