Hubli:  A  case has been registered  at Kalghatgi police station against Mujahid Khan(45), who is accused of harassing his wife and threatening to kill her for refusing to convert to Islam. The victim, referred to as Rekha (35)(name changed), has faced significant distress and danger due to these threats.

Rekha, who currently resides with her grandmother in Kalaghatagi,in Dharwad district was previously employed at a private company in Bangalore. It was there that she met Mujahid Khan, who was working at the same company. Their professional relationship soon blossomed into a friendship, which later developed into a romantic relationship. In 2017, the two decided to marry.

However, unbeknownst to Rekha at the time, Mujahid Khan was already married and had four children from his first marriage. Despite this significant detail being hidden from Rekha, the early days of their marriage appeared to be harmonious. It was only later that Mujahid Khan began pressuring Rekha to convert to Islam, which led to frequent conflicts and ultimately caused a severe rift in their relationship.

With their assistance, Rekha has filed a formal complaint against Mujahid Khan at the Kalaghatagi police station. She has accused him of attempting to forcibly convert her to Islam and of issuing death threats.
