Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat on July 18, while addressing an event organised by Vikas Bharti in Gumla, Jharkhand emphasised on the never-ending pursuit of development.

Dr Bhagwat stressed that human ambition constantly drives the pursuit of improvement and growth, reminding us that there is always potential for progress and development.

Dr Bhagwat said, “Is there ever an end to progress? When we reach our goal, we see that there is still more to go. A man wants to become a Superman, then a Dev, and then Bhagwan. Both internal and external, developments, have no end. It is a continuous process and that is why we should always be at ‘Asamadhan’ (without solution) slightly. A lot has been done, but still, a lot is left. A karyakarta should think that he has done a lot but still, a lot is pending because there is always the scope to do more. The solution will only come if the development is being done continuously.”

He also highlighted the importance of preserving cultural heritage and values in a rapidly changing world.

“Various experiments were made in the past 2,000 years, but they failed to provide happiness and peace that are ingrained in India’s traditional way of life. After Corona, the world came to know that Bharat has the roadmap to peace and happiness. Sanatan Dharma always believed in the welfare of mankind,” Dr Bhagwat said.

“The Sanatan Sanskriti and Dharma did not come from royal palaces but from Ashrams and forests. With changing times, our clothes may change but our nature will never change,” he added.

Dr Bhagwat further said that he is never worried about the country’s future as many people are working collectively for its betterment, which is bound to show results.

“There has been no doubt about the country’s future. Good things should happen, as all are working for it. We are also making efforts,” he said.

“We have different styles of worship, more than 3,800 languages are spoken here and even the food habits are different. Despite the difference, our mind is one and cannot be found in other countries,” he said.

“When we work for the betterment of anyone, our development also takes place. Human beings never live alone and they are not scared of death. If he is made to live alone in a closed room, he will get mad in a few months. If humans live together they have sentiments attached to them,” Dr Bhagwat said.

Thinking for the betterment of the Vanvasi community, he said that the Vanvasi community has remained backward and a lot of work is needed in the areas of education and health for them.

“In forest areas where the Vanvasis traditionally live, the people are peaceful and simple in nature which is not found in big cities. I can trust villagers with closed eyes, because village people are always ready to help the needy” he added.

Ashok Bhagat, Secretary -Vikas Bharti while addressing the event said that “Vikas Bharti is continuously working to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach the people. We are working for the upliftment of people for the past 40 years. The organisation has planted 10 crore trees”.

Padma Shri Chami Murmu, Devvrat Mohan, Sudhir Brujia, Mahendra Bhagat, former MP Sudarshan Bhagat, Sameer Oraon, Arun Oraon, Praveen Singh, Kiranmala, Shiv Shankar Oraon, Vinay Lal, Sanjay Kumar, Ranjan Chaudhary, Asha Lakra, and a large number of guests were present on the occasion.
