The Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) has received the report on the Khedkar case from the Maharashtra Government. DoPT had sent the state a number of queries, and the state had provided answers to them. The state has finished its investigation. The committee appointed by the centre will now investigate it.
UPSC has initiated a series of actions against her, including Criminal Prosecution by filing an FIR with the Police Authorities and has issued a Show Cause Notice (SCN) for cancellation of her candidature of the Civil Services Examination-2022/ debarment from future examinations/ selections, in accordance with the Rules of the Civil Services Examination-2022.
In the midst of the controversy, the government has suspended the ‘district training program’ of Khedkar, who was transferred from Pune to Washim as a supernumerary assistant collector. She has been called back to the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie for “necessary action.”
