Bhagwan Ram is always a topic of discussion in our country. After the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22 this year, this discussion has increased. There is also a Ram Mandir in Jaipur, which is 130 years old. It took about 19 years to install the murti of Bhagwan Ram there. This Mandir is built on the lines of Kanak Bhawan in Ayodhya.

Jaipur is called Chhoti Kashi. The reason for this is that you will find an ancient temple on almost every road. One of these is the Ramchandra Mandir of Bhagwan Shri Ram, located in Chandpol Bazar. This is the oldest Ram Mandir in Jaipur, founded in 1894. At 130 years old, it is one of the grand temples of Jaipur. Its beauty is especially worth seeing at night.

One day a month for Rajasthan’s revered statue

This Mandir in Chandpol Bazaar was built by Gulab Kanwar, the wife of Maharaja Sai Ramsingh of Jaipur.  There are five magnificent chowks in it, which make four moons in the beauty of the Mandir. The statue of Bhagwan Ram seated in this Mandir is made according to the constellation. It took 18 years, 9 months and 24 days to make. It used to be made only once a month. So, it took 18 years to prepare this murti.

Depicting the 24 avatars of Vishnu

The most unique thing about this Mandir is that it is built on the lines of Kanak Bhawan in Ayodhya. The walls of this Mandir are beautifully carved, depicting the 24 incarnations of Jagmohan Vishnuji. Additionally, images of Nagfani and Singhmukh have been created. The entire Mandir complex is decorated with murals that are amazing and beautiful to look at. On the marble walls of the temple complex, there are also depictions and descriptions of the events from the Ramcharitmanas.

Raha chalte darshan

This Mandir is built in the middle of Chandpol Bazar. People walking along the road can directly see Bhagwan Ramchandra from outside. This temple was given to Pandit Vidyasagar Kanhaiya Lal Nyayacharya by Jaipur Naresh Mansingh in 1949. Since then, his descendants have continued to worship Bhagwan Ramchandra here. Currently, his descendant, Narendra Tiwari, is the pujari. Every year, the manifestation of Bhagwan Ram is celebrated with great pomp in this grand Ramchandra Mandir, attracting thousands of people from far and wide.
