President Murmu, hailing from a tribal background and proud of her Hindu heritage, made a personal visit to the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, on May 1. Contrary to misinformation spread by some quarters, President Murmu’s visit was not hindered by any restrictions; rather, she decided to visit the sacred site in a personal capacity. It was due to protocol constraints that she could not take part in the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla at Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir on January 22.

Furthermore, President Murmu’s visit serves as a strong rebuttal to the misinformation propagated by Rahul Gandhi. His false claims regarding President Murmu’s access to the temple stand exposed in the face of her visit. It was without any hindrance that she offered prayers at Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir.

The President of India, Draupadi Murmu, performed the aarti at Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir. It is important to clarify that President Murmu has not been barred from entering the temple premises, as was spread by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. On the contrary, she is exercising her right to visit the Ram Mandir, showcasing her deep-rooted connection to her faith and the significance of the temple in Hindu culture.

She also visited Hanuman Garhi and worshipped Hanumanji.

Meanwhile, on Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s claim that President Murmu was not invited during the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla because she is an Adivasi, General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, Champat Rai gave a befitting reply and said, “In a meeting in Gujarat, Rahul ji has said that the President Droupadi Murmu was not invited to the occasion of Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla at Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya because she is a tribal. As the General Secretary and Trustee of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, I have serious objections to these statements of Rahul ji. These statements are absolutely false, baseless, and misleading. Both President Murmu & former President Ram Nath Kovind were invited to the Pran Pratishtha. People from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, and the extremely poor were invited, and they had come…”
