TN MRB assistant surgeon 2024 notification out for 2553 vacancies; Check here

Tamil Nadu Medical Recruitment Board has published the recruitment notification for assistant surgeon (general). Eligible candidates can apply for the vacant positions on the official website, mrb.tn.gov.in from April 24, 2024. Know more details here

The Tamil Nadu Medical Recruitment Board has released the notification for the recruitment of Assistant Surgeon (General) posts on March 15, 2024. Interested candidates can apply for the TN MRB Recruitment 2024 by visiting the official website of TN MRB, mrb.tn.gov.in. The application window will be open on April 24, 2024 and the last date to apply is May 15, 2024.

The TN MRB recruitment drive aims to fill the 2,553 assistant surgeon positions in the department. There will be a Tamil Language Eligibility Test and a computer-based exam for all applicants.

Follow the step-by-step guide mentioned below to download the TN MRB Recruitment 2024 notification:

Step 1: Go to the official website of TN MRB i.e. mrb.tn.gov.in.

Step 2: Click on the tab “Notification”.

Step 3: On the following page, under the recruitment category click on the link stating “Notification for Assistant Surgeon (General)”.

Step 4: Read the TN MRB 2024 notification carefully and download it for future reference.

Interested candidates need to have the below-mentioned qualifications to be eligible for TN MRB Recruitment 2024:

●       Possess an MBBS degree from an accredited college or university.

●       As defined by the Madras Medical Registration Act of 1914, candidates must be registered practitioners.

●       Applicants must have worked for a minimum of 12 months as the House Surgeon (CRRI).

●       They must register their names with the Tamil Nadu Medical Council.

●       They should be up to 37 years old as of July 1, 2024. However, the upper age limit is relaxed for reserved category candidates as per government norms.

To submit the TN MRB Recruitment 2024 form, SC/SCA/ST/DAP(PH) category candidates have to pay INR 500/- as an application fee and other candidates will have to pay INR 1000/-. The application fee can be paid through debit, credit or net banking.

For the post of Assistant Surgeon (General), the selection process will include two stages: Tamil Language Eligibility Test and Computer Based Test (CBT). The final selection list will be prepared on the basis of aspirants’ performance in the CBT.
