Central Teacher Eligibility Test 2024 registrations commenced on March 7, 2024. Candidates can submit the online application till April 2, 2024 by 11:59 pm IST. CTET 2024 will be conducted in twenty languages in 136 cities on July 7, 2024. CTET July 2024 will be held in two shifts, first shift for Paper II from 9:30 am to 12 noon and the second shift for Paper I from 2 pm to 4:30 pm. All interested candidates can download the CTET 2024 July notification PDF from the official website.

CTET is a computer-based test of duration 2.30 hours which is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education. The purpose of CTET is to evaluate candidates to be appointed as teachers in Central government schools. Paper I is conducted for primary school teachers (Class 1 to 5) and Paper II is conducted for elementary/middle school teachers (Class 6 to 8).

Central Teacher Eligibility Test 2024 application fee for the General/ OBC-NCL category is INR 1000 and INR 500 (reserved and PwD) for only paper I or II respectively. Candidates who want to apply for both papers I and II have to pay INR 1200 (for General/OBC) and INR 600 (for Reserved category and PwD) respectively.

The application correction window notification will be updated on the official website. Candidates can change or edit their details in the application form through the correction window.

How To Apply for CTET July 2024 Online?

Candidates can follow the steps below to apply for the CTET July 2024 Exam;

Visit the official website of CTET, ctet.nic.in
Go to the section ‘Candidate Activity’.
Click on the link “ Apply for CTET-July 2024”
Click on the ‘New Registration’ button on the login page.
After registration, candidates can login using the application number  and password.
Fill in all required details and upload necessary documents for CTET July 2024 registration process.
Pay application fee for CTET July-2024.
Submit the application form and print the submitted application form for CTET July-2024 for future reference.

CTET 2024 Key Points
● Scanned copies of Photograph and signature are required to be uploaded in the application form. The format should be JPG/JPEG.
● Scanned photograph size should be 10-100 KB with dimensions 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height).
● Scanned signature size should be 3-30 KB with dimensions 3.5 sm (length) x 1.5 cm (height).
● Application fee can be submitted through the payment gateways such as Debit/Credit Card, and Net Banking. Note that the fee is not acceptable in offline mode.
● 30 Multiple choice questions will be asked in the question paper from five sections each.
● Five sections are Child development and Pedagogy, Mathematics, Environmental Studies, Language I and Language II.
● CTET 2024 is conducted in 20 languages namely English, Hindi, Bengali, Assamese, Gujarati, Garo, Kannada, Khasi, Malayalam, Marathi, Sanskrit, Tamil, Mizo, Nepali, Urdu, Odia, Punjabi, Telugu, Manipuri, and Tibetan.
● Maximum marks in CTET 2024 is 150 and there is no negative marking in the examination.
