The elections for the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) in Delhi were held on January 30, with Sushri Nidhi Tripathi, a Central Working Committee member of ABVP, serving as the election officer. Dr Tapan Bihari has been elected as the State President, while Harsh Attri has been re-elected as the State Secretary, announced Tripathi.

Dr. Tapan Bihari, originally from Jajpur, Odisha, and currently an Assistant Professor at Jawaharlal Nehru University, has been an active member of ABVP since 2001. He previously held the position of State Vice President from 2018 to 2021.

Harsh Attri, a resident of Aligarh district in Uttar Pradesh and a member of ABVP since 2015, has been re-elected as the State Secretary. Attri, who completed his LLB from Delhi University’s Faculty of Law and is currently pursuing postgraduate studies in the Buddhist Studies department at Delhi University, has held various roles within ABVP, including District Co-convener, Vibhag Co- Convener, and National Executive Member. He played a crucial leadership role in ABVP’s success during the 2023 Delhi University Students’ Union Elections.

Both Dr. Tapan Bihari and Harsh Attri are slated to assume their respective responsibilities during the ABVP Delhi State Conference scheduled for February 4, 2024, at Jawaharlal Nehru University.
