FTII Students paste Remember Babri Posters, ABVP writes letter to Anurag Thakur denouncing it
Tensions flared at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) Pune as students displayed ‘Remember Babri’ posters a day after the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony. The provocative posters led to a clash with members of Hindu organisations, escalating into a heated confrontation on campus. The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) denounced this act and wrote a letter to Union Minister Anurag Thakur denouncing the action of the FTII students.
As the entire nation rejoices in the auspicious occasion of Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha, a joyous festive spirit permeates every village, colony, town, and city. Regardless of faith or sampraday, every Indian is actively participating in this celebratory mood. Even our Muslim brothers and sisters have gracefully accepted the Supreme Court’s verdict, joyfully joining the nationwide celebrations.
Amidst this harmonious atmosphere, it is disheartening to note that certain Maoist elements seek to disrupt this positive environment. However, the resilience of our nation shines through as we stand united in the face of such attempts.
Unfortunately, some students at FTII (FTII Goonda) have chosen to undermine the essence of this celebration. By organising a picture exhibition of Babri Masjid and putting up posters labelling the event as the “death of the Constitution,” they not only disrespect the apex Supreme Court but also offend the sentiments of all Indians.
It is crucial to acknowledge that these actions aim to sow discord and create divisions within our society. These individuals seem to reject the values of the Constitution, India, and the very essence of human values.
Let us collectively stand against such divisive forces and continue to uphold the spirit of unity, diversity, and shared celebrations that define our great nation.
