RSS extends invitations to Hindu, Jain, and Buddhist Sadhus for Grand Ram Mandir inauguration

In a significant move to foster unity and inclusivity, the pracharks and karyakartas of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) will extend invitations to Hindu, Jain, and Buddhist sadhus for the upcoming inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The collaborative initiative with the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) aims to bring together spiritual leaders from diverse faiths to witness the historic event.

The responsibility of carrying out this initiative has been entrusted to the revered Hindu saint Swami Raghunandan. According to a briefing by Ram Mandir Trust’s General Secretary Champat Rai, approximately 4,000 saints and 2,200 other esteemed guests have been invited to partake in the consecration ceremony scheduled for January 22.

The list of invitees is not limited to religious leaders alone, as the temple trust has also extended invitations to various prominent figures. Notable personalities invited include stalwarts of the temple movement like L K Advani and Murali Manohar Joshi, political figures Sonia Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, and prominent businessmen such as Mukesh Ambani, Anil Ambani, Gautam Adani, and Ratan Tata. Bollywood luminaries, including Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Mohanlal, Chiranjeevi, and Akshay Kumar, as well as cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli, are also on the guest list.

In a bid to make the inauguration even more special, the RSS and VHP have initiated a door-to-door campaign titled “Akshat.” Running from January 1 to 15, this campaign involves distributing rice and a picture of Sri Ram to households. The objective is not only to extend invitations but also to involve communities in the joyous celebration surrounding the long-awaited construction of the Ram Mandir.

The grand event is poised to be a symbol of unity, transcending religious boundaries, and fostering a spirit of inclusivity. The organisers hope that the presence of leaders from Hinduism, Jainism, and Buddhism will send a powerful message of harmony and shared cultural heritage.
