Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national organising secretary BL Santosh while addressing the gathering as part of the Amrutasatham series of lectures organised by the Sangh-inspired Kesari Malayalam weekly, focused on the “Economic Growth of Bharat – Yesterday and Today” during the 12th lecture in the centenary celebrations of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

Santosh emphasised the miraculous achievements across all economic spheres in Bharat, highlighting the nation’s remarkable progress despite challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic and conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza. He underscored that achieving the 2027 economic milestone is contingent on avoiding unforeseen adversities. Santosh credited the present leadership for its robust capacity in efficient planning, workmanship, and accurate perception, emphasising that the achievement is attributed to a collective leadership of exemplary talents rather than being the result of a single individual’s efforts.

He added that the 2027 deadline will be achieved if no untoward happenings take place. Because the country’s present leadership possesses abundant capacity for efficient planning, workmanship, and right perception. It is to be noted that these achievements are attained despite grave challenges like the COVID, wars in Ukraine and Gaza, etc. This is the significance of our developments.

Modi government is working on three principles: Concept of welfare state based on Gandhiji’s Ramarajya, Sarvodaya ideology of Vinoba Bhave and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s Anthyodaya are the major pillars of Modi administration.

Credibility and kindness are the characteristics of Narendra Modi. Not political consideration, but, necessities are given major priority. Therefore, the Modi government enjoys popular support. People feel and experience goodness. Those who try to malign the union government are disappointed. Because, their attempts are futile. In the past, the country witnessed an administration enveloped in corruption.

Transparent projects and crystal-clear execution, self-sufficiency like the development of the COVID vaccine, making the banks people-friendly through Jan Dhan accounts, and direct distribution of government aid are social services rendered by the government, and they led to fiscal stability.

Incorruptible administration and the blocking as well as the prevention of syphoning of government funds are the major achievements of his government. The fact that our Bharat has rupee-based transactions with 27 countries speaks about the stability of our fiscal conditions. COVID and wars have adversely affected the production regime of other countries, but Bharat is on the path of development. Country shows courage and ability in reforming the laws, rules, and regulations according to necessity; it is a great achievement. Banking activities underwent unprecedented development. Demonetisation fulfilled its goals. Such reforms will continue until and unless there is complete transparency in the monetary transactions.People’s welfare is assured in basic service sectors. Not only urban but also rural areas attain economic ability and contribute towards the country’s fiscal development.

Under these circumstances, a change of rule and a shortage of its own majority for BJP should be avoided. Such situations and large or small similar conditions may jeopardise the fulfilment of the great cause. He said the Modi government should come back to power in 2024. That is the people’s wish and it will be fulfilled.

Senior Chartered Accountant P. Vijayakumar presided. B.L. Santosh released the book ‘Amrithavarsham, Atmanirbharam’.
