JJMP area commander held

It is worth mentioning here that the arrest of Ganjhu occurred days after the Jharkhand police, in another operation, held another seasoned Maoist of the banned Jharkhand Jan Mukti Parishad (JJMP), a splinter group of the proscribed Communist Party of India (Maoist) from Garhwa district, on Saturday, December 23.

The Garhwa police, in an operation, had nabbed Manoj Ram alias Manoj Kumar a cadre of the JJMP and recovered a Insas rifle, 04 pieces of 315 bore rifles along with a huge cache of ammunition. It’s been learnt that Manoj Kumar was a part of the group led by area commander Tunesh Oraon and was also involved in the encounter broke out between the forces and the Maoist on 17th of this month.
