The consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya will witness the participation of volunteers from RSS and various other Hindu organisations who will embark on a mission to engage the common man in the city, encouraging them to light diyas at temples and homes to commemorate this momentous occasion. Furthermore, the melodious recitation of the Ram dhun will grace the city’s temples on this sacred day.

Morarji Tripathi, the prant prachar pramukh of Kashi prant, conveyed to the media that the RSS has formulated an extensive blueprint to celebrate this day in a grand manner across all 16 districts of Kashi prant. To kickstart this fervent campaign, volunteers will carry out door-to-door outreach activities from January 1 to 15. These dedicated volunteers will form tolis, or groups, in their efforts to connect with every Hindu family under the banner of the maha sampark abhiyan. Meetings will also be held at the local level starting from December 15.

Under this well-devised programme, 200 volunteers are set to embark on a journey to Ayodhya on November 4, 2023. Their mission is to carry yellow rice (peela Akshat), symbolising an invitation on behalf of the nyas, along with brass utensils to all vibhag kendras in Kashi prant on November 5. From November 5 until the end of December, they will take this symbol of invitation, the yellow rice, to temples across the entire country. Their enthusiastic efforts will extend to villages, blocks, slums, cities, and mahanagars from January 1 to 15, urging devotees to join in the Ayodhya celebrations.

On the auspicious day of pran pratistha, volunteers, joined by devoted participants, will gather at local temples throughout the state to engage in bhajans and kirtans. Furthermore, they will illuminate temples and homes with the radiant glow of diyas on the evening of January 22.

Tripathi emphasised, “The organisation has called upon its volunteers to participate in local events, as Ayodhya’s limited space makes it challenging to accommodate everyone. To facilitate this, volunteers will be arriving in Ayodhya on different dates and schedules, for which special arrangements will be made. In particular, the volunteers from Kashi prant are scheduled to reach Ayodhya on January 30.”

Volunteers have also been tasked with compiling a comprehensive list of local temples to ensure maximum participation and involvement of the local populace in the joyous celebrations.

The RSS’ meticulously planned and enthusiastic approach to celebrating the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya highlights the deep-rooted devotion and the grand scale on which this significant event is set to take place. The involvement of dedicated volunteers, the symbolic gesture of the yellow rice, and the extensive outreach efforts to unite Hindus from all walks of life reflect the organisation’s commitment to making this event truly special. With bhajans, kirtans, and the illuminating presence of diyas, the entire city of Ayodhya is poised to be part of a historic and deeply spiritual celebration on January 22, 2023.
