In Mumbai, Maharashtra, a disturbing case has emerged, revealing the evident animosity of Islamists towards Hindus and non-believers (kaffirs). A father committed a horrifying act, taking the life of his own daughter, who had chosen to marry a Hindu man and adopt Hindu practices. Shockingly, he didn’t stop there, also ended the life of his son-in-law after inviting them both to his residence for what was supposed to be a reconciliation. The police have since discovered the lifeless bodies of both the man and the woman, leading to the arrest of five individuals, including two minors.
The individuals in custody have been identified as Gora Raeesuddin Khan (50), his son Salman (22), and Salman’s associate Kaif Khan. Additionally, two minors have been apprehended in connection with the incident.
According to the available information, 20-year-old Gulnaz, the daughter of Gora Raeesuddin, married 22-year-old Karan Ramesh Chandra in 2022 and chose to live with him in Uttar Pradesh. Despite her family’s strong objections to the union, Gulnaz went ahead with her decision. Subsequently, Gora invited her and Karan to Mumbai, expressing a willingness to accept their relationship and desiring to meet them. Tragically, on October 14, Gora, along with an accomplice, carried out this heinous act, ending the lives of both Gulnaz and Karan.
The police launched their investigation after discovering the body of Karan Ramesh Chandra, with his throat slit. His body was located in an isolated telecom factory situated in the Govandi area, found submerged in a well. Prompted by this grisly discovery, the police swiftly opened the case, distributing Karan’s photograph to the public in hopes of gathering crucial information.
Meanwhile, concerns arose when Gulnaz was reported as missing, casting suspicion on her own family. As the authorities delved deeper into the matter, a harrowing series of events began to unfold, ultimately revealing the chilling circumstances that led to this brutal act of violence.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone VI) Hemraj Rajput revealed, “Upon questioning Gulnaz’s father Gora Raeesuddin Khan and brother Salman Khan, we ascertained that they were responsible for the couple’s tragic demise.”
Gora and Salman, both involved in the garment industry, frequently conducted business in Mumbai’s Dharavi area, often extending their stays. Last year, Gulnaz confided in her family about her relationship with Chandra, and the couple decided to proceed with their marriage. However, this interfaith union stirred anger within the girl’s family.
In an attempt to mend their differences, they invited the couple to Mumbai under the guise of reconciliation. As time passed, word spread among their relatives, leading to embarrassment for the girl’s father and brother. They resolved to end Chandra’s life and deceitfully called them to Mumbai, feigning an interest in settling the dispute.
Once the couple arrived in the city, Gora Raeesuddin Khan and Salman Khan, along with Salman’s friend Mohammad Kaif and three underage accomplices, took Karan Ramesh Chandra to a secluded location in Govandi. There, they ruthlessly ended his life by slitting his throat and disposed of his remains in a nearby well. Later that night, when Gulnaz began to inquire about her husband, her family members deceitfully brought her to Kalamboli in Navi Mumbai.
“In a horrifying turn of events, they used a rope to strangle her and then discarded her body in the jungle,” added the officer. The accused confessed their involvement in the murders during the inquiry.
Subsequently, the police arrested Gora Raeesuddin Khan, Salman Khan, and Salman’s friend Mohammad Kaif. Additionally, three minors who aided in the crime have been detained. Legal proceedings are currently underway, with the accused individuals remanded in police custody for 11 days after their recent apprehension. The investigation into this case of interfaith violence continues.
