The Assam unit of the Bharatiya Janta Party held a crucial meeting at the State BJP headquarters in Guwahati to prepare a roadmap for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

The meeting, held late October 17 night, was attended by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, State BJP president Bhabesh Kalita, Cabinet Ministers, MPs, and MLAs, said the Assam CM while talking to media personnel.

“A series of meetings of the State BJP were held at the State BJP headquarters to discuss about the upcoming Lok Sabha polls,” Himanta Biswa Sarma said.

Assam BJP is gearing up for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, and the State BJP has targeted to win 12 out of 14 Lok Sabha seats in the State.

BJP unit of Assam has asked its own MLAs and Ministers to visit all 14 Lok Sabha constituencies of the State to analyse the ground situation and to make reports.

A team of BJP Ministers and MLAs, including six Ministers of the Assam Cabinet, on October 18 visited Bodoland Territorial Region. “Today, we have visited Bodoland Territorial Region for discussion about Lok Sabha polls. Six Ministers and 11 MLAs are in the team,” BJP MLA Diganta Kalita told ANI.

Earlier, CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said that they have targeted to win 12 out of 14 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

After delimitation of assembly constituencies and Lok Sabha constituencies in Assam, the State BJP has made a separate roadmap to win maximum seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha election.
