Adani Group alleges criminal conspiracy involving Mahua Moitra and Darshan Hiranandani

A  spokesperson for the Adani Group disclosed that Jai Anant Dehadrai, a prominent Supreme Court lawyer, has formally approached the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) with a comprehensive complaint. The crux of Dehadrai's complaint revolves around the alleged collaboration between Moitra and Hiranandani, which is said to have spanned since 2018.

In a world where accusations are often flung without evidence, the Adani Group has taken a bold step by leveling substantial allegations against Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra and Darshan Hiranandani, CEO of the Hiranandani Group. The Adani Group asserts that these individuals are at the centre of a criminal conspiracy aimed at tarnishing the esteemed reputation of Gautam Adani and his business empire, using the parliamentary platform as a means of attack.

In an official statement issued, a spokesperson for the Adani Group disclosed that Jai Anant Dehadrai, a prominent Supreme Court lawyer, has formally approached the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) with a comprehensive complaint. The crux of Dehadrai’s complaint revolves around the alleged collaboration between Moitra and Hiranandani, which is said to have spanned since 2018. Their purported objective is nothing short of a relentless endeavor to damage the Adani Group’s sterling reputation and its vital business interests.

Spokesperson, Adani Group says, "In a shocking development, on Sunday, 15 Oct 2023, a Supreme Court lawyer Jai Anant Dehadrai, filed a complaint with the CBI in the form of a sworn affidavit bringing on record “the commission of an elaborate criminal conspiracy” by MP Mahua… pic.twitter.com/6UiI4OkHC6

This development signifies a remarkable departure from the norm, where individuals often make baseless allegations with no factual basis. In this instance, the Adani Group has chosen to address these concerns through legal channels, bringing this potentially explosive issue into the realm of official investigation.

As of now, the Adani Group has refrained from divulging specific details concerning the exact nature of the allegations brought against Moitra and Hiranandani, leaving the public and media anxiously anticipating further information to shed light on this unfolding narrative.

The accused, Mahua Moitra, is no stranger to controversy, having previously made statements within Parliament that stirred debate without accompanying evidence. However, with these allegations, she finds herself on the other side of the legal spectrum, subject to the rigors of due process.

Who made this video??? Can someone please elaborate what were the 'bribe for questions' which Trinamool MP Mahua Moitra asked in parliament? Yet to get more info🤐 pic.twitter.com/AQw0Wz5Y0H

In response to these accusations, Moitra vehemently denies any wrongdoing, labeling the charges as “baseless” and “defamatory.” She also hints at the possibility that the Adani Group might be resorting to intimidation tactics in an attempt to silence her.

For its part, the Hiranandani Group, led by CEO Darshan Hiranandani, has swiftly rejected the allegations. They maintain their commitment to conducting business affairs within the confines of the law and ethical standards.

Any idea who was paying Mahua Moitra for all these anti india, anti Hindu statements?

Still we should not use this unparliamentary #HaramiMahua hashtag

As the dust settles, the Central Bureau of Investigation remains mum on the issue, leaving the question of whether they will initiate a formal investigation into the allegations brought forth by the Adani Group in limbo.

This is not the first instance where Mahua Moitra, a Trinamool Congress MP with a background as a former investment banker, has found herself at the epicenter of controversy. Renowned for her candid and outspoken views, she has consistently demonstrated her willingness to challenge the status quo, sparking attention and debate on numerous occasions:

2019: Moitra made waves with her maiden speech in Parliament, where she boldly listed seven signs of fascism in India, including “superficial nationalism,” “disdain for human rights,” “suppression of dissent,” and “control of mass media.” This audacious address set off a fiery discussion regarding the state of democracy in India.

2020: The Trinamool MP faced criticism for comments she made regarding the Jain community, where she alleged that Jains were “secretly eating non-vegetarian food.” Subsequently, she issued an apology for her remarks.

2021: Moitra became entangled in a heated exchange with actor Kangana Ranaut. Ranaut had accused Bollywood of being “drug-infested” and “full of nepotism.” Moitra swiftly countered Ranaut’s statements, characterizing them as “promoting hate speech and bigotry.”

2022: Moitra was at the center of a controversy involving the Adani Group. Her parliamentary inquiry about the group’s purported involvement in various scams resulted in the Adani Group vehemently denying these allegations, while also accusing Moitra of defamation.

2023: The latest chapter in Moitra’s ongoing saga of controversy unfolds with her being accused of criminal conspiracy by the Adani Group. The group alleges that Moitra, in collaboration with businessman Darshan Hiranandani, orchestrated a targeted attack on their reputation through parliamentary inquiries. Moitra has vehemently denied these allegations, labeling them as “baseless” and “defamatory.”
