We are extremely happy and elated at India assuming presidentship of the G20 and are proud of the successful conclusion of the Delhi conclave. This G20 stint has many unique features. We had accorded a warm welcome to the delegates from all over the world in keeping with the hoary and glorious traditions of Indian culture. Despite divergent viewpoints among the member-countries, India carried everyone along and ensured the unanimous passage of the joint declaration. We have shown to the world that India can offer a credible and worthy leadership to the world.

Successful Chandrayaan Mission

Recently, Indian scientists have successfully launched the Chandrayaan mission and facilitated the hassle-free landing of the space launcher in the southern part of the moon. India is the first ever nation to achieve this feat. The landing spot in the southern pole of Moon will henceforth be known as Shiv Shakthi point. This remarkable and epoch-making success has warmed the hearts of every Indian. Vanavasi Kalyan Ashram compliments every scientist associated with the project as also the government of India for the successful completion of the project. That Shri Rohan Yadav, a former Student of Kalyan Ashram-run school from Jharkhand is also part of the Chandrayan team of scientists, is a matter of immense pride for not just Kalyan Ashram but also for entire Nation.

Passage of Nari Shakti Vandan Bill

The Ganesh Chaturthi this year will remain etched in letters of gold forever in Indian history. On this day, we have dedicated the newly constructed parliament building to the nation. Also, the country witnessed the passage of the Nari Shakti Vandan Bill at the special session of Parliament held in the new temple of Indian democracy. Barring a couple of MPs, every political party backed this bill as a result of which women will now get 33 per cent reservation in the law-making houses at the national and the state level. The VKA whole-heartedly congratulates the Government of India for achieving this historic milestone.

Announcement of Tribal University for Telangana

In a significant decision, the Union Government has announced the setting up of a tribal university in Telangana’s Mulug. It is also heartening that this university would be named after vanvasi deities Sammakka and Saralamm. Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi made an announcement to this effect at a public meeting organized in Palamoor on October 1, 2023.

Union Minister for Information Anurag Thakur has informed that the Union Cabinet has given its nod to table a resolution to set up a tribal university in Telangana in Parliament. This decision will surely go a long way in ensuring spread of education and improving the academic standards among the tribals of the state. Also, it will help in promoting the tribal art, culture and way of life and facilitates quality research into the tribal knowledge systems. We wholeheartedly welcome this decision of the Government of India.
