In a shocking case, a Dalit family was converted to Islam after their son fell into the trap of a Muslim woman through an online gaming application ‘Free Fire’. After the man was successfully lured to Islam, the woman and her family started manipulating his family members. For the past few months, different clerics and Muslims have been visiting the family, it was only after the locals informed the police, action was taken. The said incident is from Madalpur village of the Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh.
Notably, the woman initially called herself a Christian and even took the victim to attend a prayer meeting of Baljinder Singh, from where she took her to Delhi. In Delhi, she presented her husband as her maternal uncle and the couple collectively converted the man to Islam.
Trapped the man through ‘Free Fire’ game
As per the details available, a Muslim woman, Mahi came in contact with Suraj son of Rajendra, through the online gaming application ‘Free Fire’. Under her influence, Suraj changed his name to Asad. Days after he was influenced by the woman, she approached him and started meeting his parents and family. Soon, her whole family started visiting them.
Ever since these people started visiting the Dalit family, they had a special attraction towards Islam. They all started observing Islamic religious practices like installing a flag with the text inscribed in Urdu, offering Namaz and having wall hangings and others relating to Islam.
What said the locals?
As per the villagers, the family has been visited by clerics and Muslim preachers for the past few months and their shift from Hindu Dharma to Islam is quite evident now.
The locals informed Hindu activists and preachers. After learning about the family, Swami Yashveer Maharaj came to the village on the day when the family was having another such meeting. He informed the police and with them, he reached the house where the Islamic meeting was organised.
Burqas have also been found for women and girls were seen in hijab. There is still an atmosphere of tension in the village regarding this matter and the villagers are now demanding legal action against the accused.
The villagers told that after luring the young man into a love trap, the woman had asked Suraj to change his name to Asad. They were preparing to take the entire family to another city on September 24, but before that, the villagers and Hindu leaders raided their place.
Swamiji informed the police
As per Swami Ji, clerics from Delhi were invited by the family and they were trying to lure other Dalits from the village to Islam. When the police raided the place they not only recovered Quran in huge numbers but also other things which are mostly expected in a Muslim house.
Swami Ji reached Shamli, UP after learning a cleric from Delhi was converting Dalits to Islam. He informed police who raided the place & recovered copies of Quran.

During police interrogation, the woman said that Rajendra’s son, 18-year-old Suraj, had come in contact with her through the ‘Free Fire’ game two years ago. After this, there was a conversation between them which later turned into love.
After this, the woman pressured him to convert by promising to marriage. She had also promised that she would give good money to his family in the name of conversion.
After this Suraj introduced the woman to his family. Later, she started visiting Suraj’s house in Madalpur village. Police have recovered a black flag, religious books and many documents written in Urdu from his house.
What said the police?
Senior Superintendent of Police Abhishek, says that a case of religious conversion had come to light in Madalpur village of Thana Bhawan police station area, in which the police took action and detained some people, registered a case and started further legal action. The police have also recovered Muslim religious conversion material and some posters, banners and flags from the spot.
As per the press note shared by Shamli police, Suraj came in contact with Mahi through Free Fire, Mahi had told him that she was a practising Christian and that all his problems would be solved if he started to believe in Christianity, She also took Suraj to one of the prayer meetings organised by Baljinder Singh Minstry in Chandigarh.
In Chandigarh, Suraj saw Mahi’s Adhar Card which showed her name as Kamarbatun. Then she revealed that her father is a Muslim whereas her mother is a Christian and they follow both religions. She told Suraj that she is from the Jogipur village of Bijnor but lives with her maternal uncle Shuakin in Delhi.
Later, the duo travelled to Delhi where Shaukin took Suraj to a mosque near Red Fort where a cleric said that Jesus is their Nabi and following Islam can solve all his problems. They asked him to change his name, and offer Namaz starting from Muharram.
Based on the complaint the police arrested both Mahi and Shaukin who called himself Mahi’s husband.
Similar case from the past
In June this year, Organiser reported a case from Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad where a Jain family lodged a complaint that their son and his friends had started offering namaz after meeting people through an online gaming application called, FORTNITE.
