Speaking to the media, PM Narendra Modi said that the world is well aware of India’s trajectory. “Whether it is the way that India fought the pandemic and helped other countries to do so, or the way we managed our economy to make it the fastest growing, or the way the financial system and banking are growing strength to strength, today is the world is aware of India’s trajectory.”

“During and after the COVID pandemic, the world has gone through a period of turbulence, and naturally, the members of the G20 have also felt concerns.”

“The G20 countries also felt that just talking about billions and trillions does not impact and there should be a focus on human-centric development.

My experience is that the discussions have been going on all these lines during our G20 Presidency. In so many meetings and discussions, we have seen a shift from old positions and giving way to new perspectives,” the Prime Minister said.

“Developed and developing countries must come forward together for the first time and find solutions to global problems. “Humans have to accept that we are the root of this problem. There are certain nuances that there are those who are more responsible for the current situation than the others. But we need to accept the reality of human impact on climate,” the PM said.

“Today, there is a restrictive attitude in this world surrounding this issue There are talks of limitations, and there is an environment of criticism on climate actions. Hence, there is friction among countries for climate action,” PM Modi said.
