What is the meaning of I.N.D.I.A in opposition Unity?: Idiosyncratic Noncommittal Dynasts for Islamic Appeasement

With lack of cohesion, I.N.D.I.A has become a laughing stock before the electorate. Congress is leading the “alliance”. However, no ally is willing to accept its not so young scion as their leader. In fact, Lalu Yadav has spoiled his chance by suggesting that I.N.D.I.A needs a married man as PM

“Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance”. That’s the name of the new pan-Indian alliance of various parties that have come together to “fight fascism” in India. With able support from George Soros, the Saviour of Democracy, the alliance has a controversial acronym “I.N.D.I.A.” The slogan “United We Stand” pretty much sums up their philosophy. With BJP led by PM Modi in a formidable position, the opposition has no options but to “stand” united. Hence, UPA or “United Progressive Alliance”, which was making little progress, whatever is left of the “Left Front” and a motley crowd of dynastic parties have come together to form I.N.D.I.A.

Congress Followed in Footsteps of Colonial Masters

Rahul Gandhi always claims India is the “Union of States”. I.N.D.I.A definitely is a disparate “Union of Parties”. By placing dots between each letter, they have successfully divided India into I.N.D.I.A. Dividing is a task that Congress has learned from the British and mastered exceptionally well, to rule India right from 1947. “D” in the acronym supposedly stands for “Developmental”. But in less than three months after Congress winning Karnataka, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has declared, “No money for development this year.” This is happening in a revenue rich State like Karnataka. Crestfallen people are crying, “Congress cannot develop. All they can do is to make people mental.”

Plagued by Nepotism

Mischievous memes have given different and delicious expansions to I.N.D.I.A. In most of those memes, “D” stands for “Dynastic”. It probably suits perfectly for an alliance involving Sonia Gandhi’s son, Lalu Yadav’s son, Mulayam Singh Yadav’s son, Bal Thackeray’s son, Sharad Pawar’s daughter, Karunanidhi’s son, Sheikh Abdullah’s son, Shibu Soren’s son, KM Mani’s son, Ajit Singh’s son, Mufti Mohammed Sayeed’s daughter and “Secular” Muslim League’s Thangal family brotherhood. All of them were propped up by the son of George Soros to complete the “Dynasts Arming Democracy” or “DAD” force assembled to “Dismantle Global Hindutva” by defeating “Electoral Autocracy” of PM Modi.

Looking at the crowd, “Idiosyncratic” could be the first “I” in I.N.D.I.A. The Left and Congress are together in fighting Mamata in West Bengal, where Leftist cadre have accused Mamata’s “TMC goons” of killing their workers. Congress is fighting Communists in Kerala. Pinarayi Vijayan, the Kerala CM and Mr. Almighty of CPI-M doesn’t like Mamata or Rahul but Comrade Sitaram Yechuri loves both. Arvind Kejriwal shares a love–hate relationship with Congress. On odd days, he wants an alliance in Delhi to defeat Modi and Shah. On even days, he abuses Congress. Congress brands AAP as BJP’s B-team. Mamata doesn’t trust anyone but aspires to be the next PM. She has tremendous support from Yashwant Sinha and Shatrughan Sinha, the two “lions” of Bihar. The beauty of the alliance is that there are 26 parties and almost as many Prime Ministerial aspirants. Sharad Pawar has lost almost half his party to nephew Ajit Pawar because he refused to encourage “nepotism”. Being farmer friendly, Pawar chose Supria Sule, a woman farmer to succeed him. Uddhav Thackeray has neither party nor symbol with him but Sanjay Raut can dream, “Next Prime Minister will be from Shiv Sena.” There is enough space for everyone to dream big.

Tamil pride people have already anointed Stalin as next PM. How can he disappoint his supporters? In between, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) turned Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) is convinced that Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao is most suited to be the next PM. Hence he’s staying away from I.N.D.I.A by choosing the name Bharat Rashtreeya Sena. In short, components of I.N.D.I.A are “noncommittal” to the cause of India or to their own allies. In spite of Congress leading the “alliance”, nobody is ready to declare Rahul Gandhi as their leader. Lalu Yadav in fact has messed up the whole story by suggesting, “I.N.D.I.A needs a married man as PM.” Staunchest of allies and such betrayal! In that sense, I.N.D.I.A represents true democracy. Let’s defeat Modi first. We will decide who should be PM afterwards!

With each and every party in the alliance competing to outdo one another in “Appeasement of Islamists”, the second “I” in I.N.D.I.A definitely appears to be “Islamic”. The word “Inclusive” stands for “inclusion” of Rohingyas and illegal Bangladeshi immigrants in voter list. Congress is setting new benchmarks in politics of appeasement in Rajasthan, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh and Himachal Pradesh, only to be outwitted by Stalin in Tamilnadu, KCR in Telangana, Kejriwal in Delhi and Mamata in West Bengal. Thus there is a proposal to interpret  I.N.D.I.A as “Idiosyncratic Noncommittal Dynasts for Islamic Appeasement”.

In spite of winning some state elections thanks to divide and rule policy and freebies, Congress has consistently failed to understand India that is Bharat. Congress leaders have often branded PM Modi as Ravan, indirectly suggesting Rahul is Ram. But the problem with that narrative is the presence of too many heads in Rahul’s alliance with no feet to stand. With so many heads, who becomes Ravan is anybody’s guess. Meanwhile, there’s acrimony over the acronym I.N.D.I.A. Congress has castigated PM Modi for saying, “There is I.N.D.I.A in Indian Mujahideen and Popular Front of India too.” They’re convinced he’s insulted India. Congress still lives in the DK Barooah complex of 1975 Emergency days. He famously quoted, “India is Indira and Indira is India.” Even today, Congress thinks “India is I.N.D.I.A and I.N.D.I.A is India.” Truth is, PM Modi missed out on mentioning other Islamist organisations that deserved to be mentioned along with Popular Front of India (PFI) and Indian Mujahideen (IM). Organisations like INC (Indian National Congress) and CPI-M (Communist Party of India – Marxist) for example.
