Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanth has won accolades for restoring law and order in the state by taking instate action against those who were involved in disrupting peace or damaging public property. Owing to the swift action that the UP government takes, the criminals in the state often surrender to the administration or they face action. More so the properties of those who are involved in crime is bulldozed.

Police use CCTV footage to identify from where stone pelting happened

The decision to bulldoze the shanties was taken after the administration scanned the CCTV footage and found that most of the stone pelting was orchestrated from these areas.

Speaking about the demolition drive, Narender Birjaniya, OSD to ADGP (Law) Mamta Singh had said that the demolition drive was taken since there were illegal structures and they were posing a hindrance to the law and order situation.

Also, in the past such drives were taken to demolish or attach the properties of criminals who were involved in illegal mining, or were cattle smugglers or extortionists or engaged in illegal arms dealing or cyber crimes.

The police have registered FIR against those who were seen celebrating the violence as well as against those who were raising slogans in favour of Pakistan.

Similar demolition drives have been taken in villages like Mewli, Shikarpur, Jalalpur and Shingar. The cyber team experts have taken into their custody footage of all CCTV cameras installed across the yatra route.

Nuh SP replaced by his Bhiwani counterpart

Days after incidents of violence in Haryana’s Nuh district, the state government transferred the Superintendent of Police, Varun Singla from the district. Nuh SP, Varun Singla, has been transferred and posted to Bhiwani. IPS Narender Bijarniya would now be the full-time SP of Nuh district, as per an order issued by the Home Department late on August 3.

Nuh Violence – 83 FIRS filed, 159 people arrested

In the aftermath of one of the worst communal clashes in Haryana’s Nuh, the police registered 83 FIRs, and 159 people have been arrested. Post the violence , internet services in some of the districts of Haryana were suspended. Also, the administration had issued orders asking the companies to allow the employees to work from home.
