Row erupted over Darbhanga

Earlier a tug of war also broke out between leaders of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD)- Janata Dal United (JDU) alliance and opposition BJP over Darbhanga, where senior leader from RJD, Bhai Virendra alleged that the BJP is trying to communalise the state by inciting violence. The RJD leader also got support from JDU’s MLC Khalid Anwar who claimed that ‘right from the moment they (BJP) were thrown out of power they have been attempting such things, it is their modus operandi, however we will not let their attempts to be succeed.

Meanwhile lambasting the claims made by the RJD-JDU leaders, former minister and senior BJP leader from BJP Nitin Navin said ” that making statements will not help you, I give an open challenge to the Chief minister that if your administration has courage then go ahead and take action.

“Be it Darbhanga or Katihar they blame BJP for every incident occurring in the state, then why are you sitting in the government? Let the BJP run the government, we will show you how to run it”, added Nitin Navin.

A scuffle broke out in Darbhanga of Bihar after members of a particular community objected to the funeral of one of the deceased members of Dalit community at Malpatti crematorium of Hariharpur village under Kamtaul police station limits on July 23 evening.

Earlier in another incident, an altercation also broke out between two groups when members of a particular community allegedly tried to instill a religious flag outside the Durga temple premises near Bazar Samiti Chowk on July 22 night.

Learning about the incident the city police then called upon a peace meeting on the next day however miscreants from a particular group while halting the proceedings started a ruckus in the meet after which both sides started pelting stones on each other.
