IRCTC site down, technical glitch hampers ticketing services; Know the alternatives to book tickets

The ticketing services on IRCTC’s site and application platform are not available due to technical reasons.

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) website is down due to technical glitch. It has been reported that the application of the IRCTC is also not working. The IRCTC took to twitter to inform the glitch.  IRCTC tweeted, “Due to technical reasons the ticketing service is not available. Our technical team is resolving the issue. We will notify as soon as the technical issue is fixed.”

Due to technical reasons, the ticketing service is not available on IRCTC site and App. Technical team of CRIS is resolving the issue.

Alternatively tickets can be booked through other B2C players like Amazon, Makemytrip etc.

Other platforms can be used to book tickets 

IRCTC has informed that those who are planning to book their tickets, they can  use other platforms such as Amazon and Paytm.

Know how to book the ticket on amazon ?

People can book their tickets by using  other platform. One such platform is Amazon. Check the steps to know how to book the tickets on Amazon.

Step 1 – First and foremost, visit the Amazon app

Step 2 – Click on the “Amazon Pay” tab.

Step 3 – Now choose “Book Tickets,” and then “Trains.”

Step 4 – Mention the details such as start and end of destination

Step 5 – Mention the date of travel

Step 6 – Choose the class of train ticket you want to have and check the relevant box in the app

Step 7 – Users will now have to use the “Find Trains” feature and customise the search

Step 8 – The amazon app will show the trains that are available as per the details

Step 9 – Select the train by which one wants to travel

Step 10 – Choose specific categories like “General,” “Senior Citizen,” or “Ladies.”

Step 11 – After filling all the details click on “Proceed” to  complete the process

Once the payment is made, the ticket book  process will be completed  and the details will be shared with the person concerned.

Meanwhile, Make My Trip also took to twitter asking the people to share the necessary details.

Also, Make My trip expressed its regret to ceratin passengers a they are not able to book their tickets. All possible steps are being to taken to ensure that IRCTC site gets functional soon.
