The core team of Arogya Bharati met for a two-day conference in Delhi

A two-day meeting of Arogya Bharati Mukhya Toli was held in Delhi on beginning July 1. Ten members of the Akhil Bharatiya Mukhya Toli were present at the event. Dr Praveen Bhavasar, Supervisor, Arogya Bharati, Dr Rakesh Pandit, National President, Arogya Bharati, Dr BN Singh, National Executive Director, Arogya Bharati, Dr Ashok Kumar Varshney, National Organisational Secretary, Arogya Bharati, and among others were present. Dr Anil Agrawal, Sah Sanghchalak of Delhi Prant of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh was also present.

Key Highlights

  • Arogya Bharati was formed on November 2, 2002
  • From March 2022 to March 2023, 7,353 Arogya Mitras were trained at 2,400 places in 164 districts
  • 16,803 people regularly practice yoga at 1065 places in 277 districts
  • In 1,259 schools of 254 districts, 95,002 students were made aware about health care
  • 22,129 medicinal plants were planted at 851 places in 197 districts
  • Different types of programmes were organised by Arogya Bharti at 494 places in 49 districts
  •  In total, about 500 districts have some or the other regular activity

Dr Rakesh Pandit highlighted work of the organisation in various areas, and emphasised the campaign of health awareness for the attainment of preventive, promotive, and positive health. Arogya Bharati has collaborated with the Government of India to be a part of our country’s healthcare system. Dr Rajesh Talwar provided information about Arogya Bharati’s work in Delhi.

Dr Ashok Varshney explained the uniqueness and benefits of comprehensive healthcare structure, stating that every individual desires to remain healthy throughout his life and this can be made possible through the use of various medical and therapeutic systems. Every system has its own uniqueness and limitations. Therefore, all methods can complement each other, leading to the attainment of good health. He emphasised the need for this health structure to respect the dignity of every medical practice and cautioned against reckless mixing of different medical systems. He averred, “Holistic medicine is not cocktails; Mixopathy is not advisable.”
